Next update?

Well interesting…looking at Lucid’s website. Dreamdrive Pro is now a $2500 option. Which I think is acceptable now for the current suite of support it has. And you’re right, it doesn’t appear Lucid promises anything either regards to future functionality anymore.

Sucks for those that paid $9k for the same thing, but I guess it’s the same as people paying so much more in 2022/2023 for Air Touring/GTs
What a minute - you mean I paid too much? I have lost track of what I paid and I love the car so I really dont care. Rock dings have even become less important. Still the best car I have ever had and I find value every day.

I didn't say they have nothing to deliver ... what I said was that the car that we purchased has all of the promised features except AA (and V2H), both of which I'm hoping are coming soon. We may desire additional features and functionality, but expecting them is a mistake.
I just hope that this are your "personal" thoughts and Lucid not trying to backchannel this expectation via mods of this forum. It would be good to have an official response from Lucid (@mcr16 ?) if consumers can expect more features from Air after Gravity launch? If expecting more features is a mistake, this will be a decisive factor in buying this car. My neighbor works at Merc dealership and with eyes closed, he always buys merc, recently he bought EQS. But after seeing, riding Lucid and listening to my experience first hand, he is intrigued and may buy Air but if I have to tell dont expect new OTA features as Lucid has already delivered what they have promised, the decision to buy will be totally different.

So @Bobby, if it's your true personal opinion about future OTA and setting our expectations, I respect it. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. In my opinion, Lucid has and should offer more to consumers based on what they expect and desire. In parallel, fix basic issues in current software, eg, popr quality microphone over Bluetooth call, camera error etc. I hope others in the forum will respect my opinion as well.

I am really concerned to know what is Lucid's official stance and how do they want to manage customer's expectations on future releases.

There is no "backchannel." I do not work for Lucid. Opinions I express are my own.

Hopefully all pending issues will be fixed gradually including "driver door soft close". And new updates will generate new issues and this cycle will continue...
probably Lucid will be more popular.. and so on and on...

The car didn’t come with SiriusXm, easy entry/exit, scheduled charging, creature comfort mode, usb media player and other things. It wasn’t promised and Lucid added it.

Lucid is adding features after the fact but they may not be ones you or others want. I think as Bobby is trying to point out, we have to accept that these are bonuses and Lucid is under no obligation to deliver things they haven’t promised on. Yes, I think adding more features over time will only benefit them but let’s be honest, they’ve done more in after sales additions that what traditional auto has ever done.

With the exception of improvements to DDP and SSP and the existence of Android Auto, I don’t think you should expect the car to gain features it doesn’t have.

That doesn’t mean it won’t; as we’ve seen, Lucid is adding tons of features over the years, some of which come to Air after first being “tested” in the development of Gravity’s UX.

So I think all that’s being said is that the car will definitely continue to improve, gain features, etc. At the same time, Lucid isn’t under any obligation to provide new features outside of those previously promised (hands free ADAS, AA, etc.).

I’m getting awfully tired of having to manually activate CarPlay every time I pull my car off it’s home charger…

Yes, that is an irritating bug. The good news is it's just a couple taps and you're back to normal. Lucid is aware of the bug, which is 100% repeatable in my car.

I have had the same experience. Every single charge. I told Lucid at the Scottsdale service center about it as well.

Hopefully it's something big with the timeframe and all.

I suspect the longer timeframe has more to do with perfecting Gravity software than adding Air features.

But shouldn't they have separate teams working on Air and Gravity? There are 25k+ Airs out and only 10 Gravity.
Air customers shouldn't have to be put on the back burner and wait till Lucid figures out Gravity. This is what they are in the business for, and should try to keep up with times and promises made.

Lucid loyalty and fondness aside, they still have a very long way to go in terms of software. Even many other legacy companies have them beat.

Maybe some of the Gravity things will filter down to the Air.

Hope they don't leave the Air behind.

Might also include some other streaming services to become native instead of through AC/AA which would be an easy-ish effort. Even though it only offers 192kbps, Pandora sounds better than Tidal to me with the current speaker setup even though I consider myself an audiophile as there are ways to maul the signal to sound richer. Cadillac does this with their Bose Panaray system if you don't want to play physical DVD-A 5.1 discs. I think it's sort of like, pre-EQ'ing a signal beforehand whereas Tidal sounds very flat (as intended) but.. somehow soul-less and un-rich.

I'd love a more diverse EQ system than Low/Mid/High. Not sure what they set those frequencies to, but it sounds like a very narrow-parametric 80Hz, 800Hz, and 8000Hz.
It'd be fairly easy to have a 5-band EQ.

I'd buy an OEM add-on subwoofer if they offered one as the current one in the back sound a lot like Pyle-brand I tried out in my Elise once. The 2 woofers in the front are nice enough.

Some basic features are coming. It's interesting they listed the top 10 in the survey for 2024. Being a SETA (Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance) I know customer needs are always considered but sometimes the vendor might choose a few they deem more important.

Whatever Peter Rawlinson says, however. I'm 100% okay with that. Somehow I really believe in him. Maybe I lost my "saving-throw" against charisma, not sure. He seems genuine to me, like when Saturn started out originally (knock on wood, pouring Macallan onto the ground, crossing self like Tuco in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly)

Yes, native Pandora and Youtube music would be nice.

Which survey and list are you referring to?
