Lucid Gravity - First ride in Production vehicle!

Interesting that the car in this video didn't have rear-wheel steering. Does that mean that it is just not yet activated or that this car did not have the handling package?

A lot of unknowns about this video but one thing I do know is that this is not the best person to help them advertise, and he did try, just not very good at it.

Was all the info correct? No, but they both did us all a solid and I definitely appreciated that they put the effort in to show us something we’ve all been clamoring to see. Not like Lucid has done us any favors by remaining so secretive.

They could’ve just posted nothing and then everyone in here would be pissed they drove it and didn’t film it. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Or maybe he was wrong? No one has said the RWS was not active before this video as far as I know.

That’s the thing I’m most bugged about. Sure, I loved every second of the clip because at the very least it’s new content — and I’ve been starved for new Gravity content — but the folks getting access in this second wave (after pros like Out of Spec and MotorTrend, who fielded great first-impression content) don’t seem to know a damned thing about the car. Super frustrating.

A gracious owner generously loaned out the vehicle for the afternoon that wasn’t originally planned to be at the event. Instead of complaining that the video isn’t to your taste, let’s show gratitude to the owner who lent the vehicle and gave us a sneak peek into a production vehicle, which is significantly more than Lucid has done to date.

He's an owner who borrowed the Gravity and helped throw a seemingly great event; he's a great dude. The video wasn't actually the goal, but I'm glad it's out there; the goal was the event, which evidently went great.

It does Exist! .. And that Sweet Video leaves me craving for more 🥳

Already watched it a couple of times to catch as many details as I could! So nice to see.

I'm a little confused about who owns this car and how they were allowed to film it. I think neither the driver or passenger own this car, right? So, the owner is unknown or anon enough to allow this b/c Lucid can't 100% pinpoint who broke the (perhaps unspoken) agreement of no videos in production vehicle?

Seems like the driver, Tesla2Lucid was allowed to borrow the car. At least that is what I took away from the video.

If this car was borrowed it would make sense while the driver knew so little about it outside of reading the marketing brochure.

I hate this thread already. It's very similar to "this is why we can't have nice things"
