First pre-production Gravity reviews are coming in

NIO ET9 is priced $112k. with captain chairs, fully automated doors presenting upon approach. I don't know about $112K for a Chinese brand car. I very much preferred my Lucid.
I know I am just including 1 specific model but...
Looking forward to seeing how Gravity sells with SUVs being the focus in the US. I was initially concerned about the sleeker look of the Gravity, due to the current SUV trend being a more squared off look, but now think it could have big appeal to families similar to the Lexus RX's that are all over my neighborhood. My only concern is with it being a high end EV as many are rightly concerned about depreciation...leases should be strong though.

I would think a big factor for Lucid's long term viability will be their success with the upcoming lower cost vehicles. I'm guessing they aren't nearly as profitable as Air and Gravity, but more vehicles on the road helps to build better brand awareness to drive higher end vehicle sales and will help to establish a market share in overseas countries that are being flooded with new Chinese low cost competitors.

We are getting our relatives in India a new car, and we've actually been looking at a Chinese car as a potential option (the BYD Seal). Despite India's 100 percent import tax, it is priced very well (around 45k USD), and has great features, power, and apparently even good build quality. This is what convinces me that even despite the US's taxes on Chinese cars, if the automakers do decide to come here, America should still be worried, as their car with a 100 percent tax is competitive with (if not beating) its closely priced competitors.

I can understand 45K but 112K sounds too steep, IMHO

True, but they have been pitching it as a Maybach/Bentley competitor (although it remains to be seen if it actually competes with those). The suspension as well as the interior of the car seems very good, although I think the exterior is extremely ugly. At 112k, it is almost the perfect competitor to the i7, which is a very nice car for the price and in my eyes, competes with Maybach's (when fully loaded).
