Resorts World is hosting get this ... THREE Gravities and four Airs this week. All vehicles are in the Valet area right in the front circle drive, along with the Lucid team to answer all of your questions.

You can step into the first production vehicles and get your personalized experience of everything Gravity has to offer.

Each of the 3 Gravities were configured with:
  • Aurora Green Metallic
  • 3 rows / 7 passenger seating
  • Stealth
  • 22" Front / 23" Rear Aether Platinum
  • Tahoe Interior
  • Dynamic Handling Package (we tried this out and it raises quite a bit)
My initial reactions, as a two year Air owner...
  • The SUV looks amazing - MUCH nicer than I had envisioned based on the pictures
  • The Aurora Green Metallic exterior - again MUCH nicer than I had expected
  • Seating
    • Very comfortable in front row
    • Middle row was MUCH more comfortable than I gathered based on the images
    • Third row - I was surprised I could fit fine back there (I'm 6' 0"). It's tight like an economy airline seat but my feet just fit without issue. Only hurdle is getting into that third row, I had to sort of crawl in there
  • Cockpit
    • I could see the ENTIRE cockpit and pilot panel (I'm 6' 0" and have a partially blocked view in my Air)
  • Canopy
    • Amazing (like the Air)
  • Tires
    • The 22"/23" seem to be the right size / look.
    • I was hoping to see the 21"/22" as I'm very happy with the Michelins on my Air

  4. Interior-ish View: Dynamic Handling Lowered
  5. Frunk Shot: Got to do it!
  6. Cool shot
  7. Almost all of the Lucid's there

While test drives are not yet available for Gravity, there are several Air models ready to roll.

GET THERE !!!

My impressions exactly when I sat in the Gravity in Miami, including the difficulty of getting into the third row.

Wow, that is one big charge port door, especially compared to the tiny door Tesla conceals in the taillight housing. Is the NACS plug that much bigger than the Tesla plug?

On the NACS plug, actually I'm not sure. I didn't notice it really and so never opened the charging door.

I may go back this week to have another look. The Gravity really exceeded my expectations in person!

I've seen the Gravity in person three times (the Lunar Titanium twice and the Aurora Green once). It's a downright thrilling product, especially when you take the test drive reviews into account.

The thing that always strikes me when I see Gravity in person is the size. It's deceptive. The car is pretty damn big. But it feels smaller than it is somehow. The lower roof height. The short nose. The sleek lines. It all contributes to a vehicle that does not at all seem as if it can comfortably haul 7.

I know other 3-row SUVs are technically very close in size or even smaller. They jut all feel much bigger than this. With the exception of maybe the Model X.

My guess is they wanted to use the same part/fascia for CCS2 in Europe, so they made the port interchangeable and the housing / fascia the same.
