Anyone in NYC get a DE order option?
It's in the termsWas anyone else told that your deposit becomes non-refundable when you switch to the DE? Not that it's a big deal, but I have not seen this written down anywhere. Studio rep said this today when we talked.
Keep in mind those are not the SUV tire so could be same or different.I think the big differences between the small and mid-size wheels have more to do with the tires than with the wheel sizes. (And remember that all the tires, no matter what the wheel choice, have the same tread width.)
In objective testing done by Tire Rack and several other outfits, the Hankooks on the small wheels are far and away the most efficient EV tires on the market, which is why their range on the Lucid is so much more than with the other two wheel options (and probably why Lucid chose them). However, that efficiency comes at a stiff price in wet handling. Dry handling seems okay, but the same tire tests that rate their efficiency so highly rate their wet handling capability smack dab at the bottom. Tire Rack goes so far as to call it a "challenge". There are also reports from users that they are prone to hydroplaning.
The Primacy Tour AS tires on the mid-size wheels give up something in efficiency but handle well over a wider range of conditions.
Given that most reviews have reported that the Gravity air suspension allows a very compliant ride even on the largest wheels, I really doubt whether you'd see a lot of ride advantage from the small wheels over the mid-size wheels.
Here's what Tire Rack had to say:

Here you see how efficient the Hankooks are, though. (Note that the max performance summer Pirellis that come on the largest wheels are also quite efficient.)

And here you see how the Hankooks fared in wet handling tests:

Nobody knows yet.How much does DreamConnect normally cost? The order form says that it will be included for 90 days. (Would be nice if they could just include it for life of car with DEs.)

What is interesting is that the Hankook website claims the Ion EVO's wet braking and wet lateral grip are above the "average of premium competitors". In fact, this is far from the actual "average of premium competitors." They derived their "average" from cherry picking only three other tires, two of which score particularly low in these metrics in independent tire tests.
Nope, not yet. Congrats on the upgrade!Ordered DE, cancelled GT order. Does anybody have any idea on delivery timelines?

What is the difference other than the price? I am ordering a GGT as well.I switched from the Grand Touring to the Dream.

So DE version of Gravity is 1070 hp (242 more than 828)? Wow, sign me up! Heading over to Denver to test drive late spring and then order a Gravy GT or DE. WIll check if my wife and two dogs likes it.242 more horsepower due to a more powerful front motor and some different badging for sure, and maybe a couple of extra-cost accessories thrown in for good measure.
