Hello all, new to the forum but not to Lucid; leased an AGT from June 2023-June 2025 and have a first day order in for a Gravity, upgraded to GDE the first day that was offered. Like many others that have been through the Lucid ‘experience’ I had my ups and downs with the AGT, mostly software quirks, a front drive unit failure, and some other minor issues. But, as all of you know, Lucid driving dynamics are so far ahead of all other options, committing to a GDE was not a hard decision. Was hoping to role directly into the GDE (my SA thought that was possible early this year), but that was clearly way too optimistic.
I’ve been reading this particular thread since January and can see the frustration level among those awaiting delivery is pretty high, mostly due to the lack of communication and clarity from Lucid. I went through a very similar experience in 2023 with Lucid. This time I’m taking Lucid Financial Services out of the equation which helps. LFS is egregiously poor at what they do and I’ll leave it at that.
Has anyone on this forum taken delivery in Virginia? I saw some pics on this forum taken at Tyson’s Corner with a couple GDEs prepped for delivery. My GDE order (Aurora Green, 22/23 wheels, Tahoe) has been stuck ‘in production’ since April although my SA says it’s out of production and is going through final inspection/awaiting a ‘factory gate’ date. That was 2 weeks ago and no movement. A few days ago, my SA asked if I am interested in switching to a GGT that is through inspection. It’s very odd to me that they are now trying to sell me a car that equates to $40k less revenue for them.
Needless to say, I’m pretty discouraged. Would love to hear if others in VA have had a similar experience or have actually taken delivery.
