Gravity Delivery Discussion

I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed , even if you buy without test driving.
My interest is certainly high, just from my experience behind the wheel of an Air and everything I've read about the Gravity. But I guess I'm conservative (not in the political sense!) and reluctant to drop ~$120K on a vehicle I've never had a chance to sit in.

I am now considering getting ride of our three existing cars and going down to just two cars: the Gravity Dream we've already ordered, and a Gravity Grand Touring set up with the smallest wheels for long road trips in cooler weather.

The issue was how to get rid of all three cars. Caravan will only quote our Honda Odyssey (which the dealer has been trying to buy from us, anyway). That leaves us with the Model S Plaid and the Air Dream Performance.

I just talked to my Gravity sales advisor. He says they have a trade-in program through Kelly Blue Book and that Lucid will take a trade-in on the Tesla, but that no decision has been made yet about taking Lucids on trade-in. The Tesla trade-in can't be set up until the time of delivery, though, as the quote will depend on mileage and condition at the time.

This is really good news. Has anyone yet had any experience with the Lucid/Kelly trade-in arrangement?

No bear so has to be a GT

Good. I'm actually hoping the Dreams won't be among the first off the production line this time around. There were a few too many trim alignment and other minor issues reported from the NYC event to make me comfortable that I won't see a repeat of the early-production issues with our Air Dream. All but one issue was corrected by prompt attention from Lucid Service, but I'd just as soon not go through that again.

I saw a post today from a forum member who, sounds like (they never said) they were not aware that a credit for charging accessories comes after delivery, not during the purchase process. Here's the post.

I also recall reading this post about a member who purchased an Air and were faced with the LCHS being out of stock. The matter was complicated by the fact that Lucid no longer provides a mobile charger with a purchase.

For those in line for a Gravity, don't have a level 2 charger, and plan to purchase an LCHS, how do you plan to address your charging needs?

For now I'm assuming Lucid will not provide or offer a mobile charger prior to delivery. I don't see them in the Lucid Store.
It would be nice if Lucid allowed buyers to add the LCHS and/or mobile charger to a car order and then apply their credit at the time of delivery.
I'm concerned about the possiblity of out-of-stock LCHSs and would like to have a plan or options to consider.

My plan is to buy the LCHS and mobile charger once my Gravity is in production.
I'll also look on the forum marketplace if the Lucid store is out-of-stock.

Asking here before contacting my SA.

And btw, getting the credit isn't a big deal.
It would be nice, but I'm not going to wait until after delivery to order my LCHS.
If I'm not reimbursed by Lucid, not the worse thing.

You charge at a public charger, or
You wait one day after delivery to get the code, then you order the charger, or
You already have a charger at home, or
\you pay for the charger prior to delivery

Of the 4 options you listed, #4 is my plan.

Just wondering what others "without" chargers are planning.

Install a third party charger before taking delivery. The LCHCS is nothing special. Unless you are pinning hopes on V2G. Did they even mention V2G or V2L for Gravity? Do they even offer a LCHCS with NACS?

Wondering how many order holders unnecessarily bothered their sales advisors with “why isn’t mine in production yet” messages…….
