Gravity Delivery Discussion

I did Aurora Green, Stealth, Tahoe, and 20/21" wheels. Also in San Diego. I did the GGT reservation first week of the opening and then switched to GDE. I am not 100% sure on the delivery times but that was just what the SA told me.
Just log in and check for software updates. If you have the same result I have, your vehicle isn't built yet. Is Nico your SA?

@borski Aren’t you supposed to take delivery of your GDE in the next few days?
The loan is funded, but I don’t have an explicit delivery date yet. I mean, I do, but it is subject to change. My expectation is in the second or third week of June, but definitely in June.

If it goes past June, I’m going to be making them throw in some additional accessories that are at least equal to one month’s interest :p

Yes, I have the same result as you. My SA is Elliott. And yeah no clue on the real delivery timeline. Just happy it says in Production. Really looking forward to ditching my Model Y and moving up to the Lucid GDE.

I’m probably being a little naive here, but I keep on reading that other manufacturers are spilling out 1,000+ vehicles per day. So, what gives with Lucid not being able to do the same. If it was at that rate, Lucid should be able to fill every reservation holder whether if it’s a DE or GT order. Plus, the ones that are being sent to KSA. There’s so many rumors going around but no one really knows for certain what’s the hold up? From what I gather. I wish they would just come out and tell us. Even my SA purposely writes in his email to allot extra time due to supply chain, factory scheduling, and other external conditions. Really? Supply chain. Maybe if this was four to five years ago. As for the other excuses, they just don’t make sense. Just tell us why it’s taking so long?

Supply chain is still a problem and on again off again tariff threats wouldn't be helping the situation either. Lucid always said they were going to be parts constrained over manufacturing constrained but I don't think people thought they were going to be this parts constrained 6 months into apparent production

Starting up production of a new product isn't easy, and Lucid is a small and relatively new automaker.

I just saw an article that other OEMs were also having supply trouble getting NACs ports.

Woah, slow your roll there! Those are big dog numbers! Lucid is TINY compared to those companies! Remember, no one on here is speaking for Lucid. Just people speculating and some in time may be proven right and others wrong but you won't find official word from them in here from Lucid. It'd be really nice if they did put out some official words for everyone for sure tho!

All of you make valid points. I just have to be patient. I waited for my Teslas (S, X and CyberTruck), Taycan, EQS SUV and my Air GT, I suppose I can do the same here. However, Tesla, Porsche, Mercedes and even with the Air they were forthcoming and told me what’s going on. Like any delays and not just a general statement.

I am just going to be patient. I would much much rather receive my GDE without any big issues then what happened with my Model Y. I had so many fit, finish, trim issues.. they all had to be corrected and it made the first 6 months of ownership suck tbh. I am planning on leasing the GDE for 3 years and then seeing what else is out there. i bought my model y and i think leasing makes more sense without how much things are changing each year.

All we can do is wait. Have some fun speculating and reading and eating up every morsel of potential real info. That’s it.

Well said. I suppose I’m one of the lucky ones that didn’t really have any issues with any of my EVs I purchased.

Got the call Tuesday, June 3, that the Oakbrook show room got a showroom only gravity available to check out. On Wednesday, June 4, spent an hour checking out the gravity. The showroom gravity is a seven seater, hud and was set to max ground clearance. My order is for the 5 seater so I did not attempt to sit in the third row. I will appreciate having the extra storage space in back to store my dog ladder instead of third row seating. My order excludes hud. The steering wheel can be adjusted in, out, up and down so the lcd screens can be in full view. The rear view mirror seams small. Though I am spoiled by having a large video feed rear view mirror in my Subaru outback where I can see 5 lanes. Video feed rear view mirrors are also unobstructed from dogs that like to sit in the center of the second row seating. Overall the gravity is comfortable to sit in. Large amount of storage space in the center console and glove box. The massage chair feature will be much appreciated on road trips. Even though the June 7th nation wide event is billed as an “air” event, I was hoping/expecting that many more lucid showrooms would have gravitys.
Hi, do you recall if the Yosemite headrest had the bear logo like the Tahoe one does?

Congratulations!

Actually they have them now. I sat in the studio one today. It’s GREAT. Like REALLY good. They are setting up the test drive one now so should be ready shortly.

I think someone posted that the display model is Aurora Green with the Yosemite interior. Is that correct? What about the one for test drives?

Just heard from SA that my car is being prepped for transport. They're estimating arrival between this weekend and the middle of next week, with delivery hopefully by next weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for a smooth and timely delivery.
Are you sure it’s not being prepped for delivery to the assembly line? 😂

Seriously, great news and congrats. Keep us posted.

Yeah it was the Aurora Green Yosemite. This green looked a tad different than the prototype I had seen but not sat in. The production aurora Green reminds me a lot of how the Zenith Red changes colors depending on the angle and light. It’s less “green” and more silver green. The Yosemite interior is very posh but no way am I getting that with a 4 year old and we go to the ocean a fair amount so it would get ruined. The seat leather samples they have give a good idea of what it would look like. The Ojai is REALLY nice, so is the Tahoe. I thought for sure I’d prefer the Mojave Purelux as I think the latest synthetic leathers are great, but in person I don’t think it would work except maybe if it’s a silver or white Gravity.

I must say, as an Air owner, I was impressed by how NICE the Gravity is to sit in. It feels kind of a level up on the Air in terms of luxury. I love my Air but the Gravity feels more posh in a non-obnoxious way.

Oh and the test drive one was also Aurora Green with the 21/22 wheels. They showed me what it looks like in the slammed lowest ride setting, it’s got that kind of jaguar prowling crouch look. That lowest setting is just for loading things into the vehicle or getting under low ceilings in parking garages at low speeds, but it has 5 height settings and the aero setting which is the second lowest setting looks great.
