Yeah, it looked so good I wished I had ordered it in Silver, but they’d already given me my VIN for my black GT so it’s ok, I’d rather have my car now even though the silver looks better. It’s very different from your typical Audi silver, which is BORING. I bet the Grey looks fantastic too but nobody has seen that color in person even in a pre-production model have they?
 
Yes, there was a grey pre-production somewhere, but I did not see it.

I made a joke that the silvers were made from beskar, but now I'm thinking that's the only explanation for them looking so good.

The Miami Studio used to have (still has?) a Quantum Grey Air GT with the Tahoe interior. Pre-production car. I thought it looked great, so that's what I ordered!

So your DA didn’t say anything about potential delays at the service center? What service center will it go through?

Reading between the lines, it sounds like Goose Island is pretty impacted. And Lucid prioritizes repairs over PDIs. Makes sense unfortunately.

Where did you hear that Goose Island was experiencing delays? From what I saw, there were open bays last weekend.

DA said that it was unpredictable how long it would take cars to go through PDI there. And that they prioritize repairs. So, it’s the biggest known unknown. Of course, there could be unknown unknowns as well. Hopefully, it’ll be smooth sailing for new cars through there.

That makes sense. It’s not necessarily delayed per se, they just can’t guarantee a quick PDI because they don’t know how many repairs they will have.

My DA said that my car is currently in production and will be ready within 30-days. I asked if there would be any delays and he told that he is confident that there will be none with my car. He said that he would not make me get approval on financing the car without being confident that it will be ready since auto finance approvals are valid for 30-days. He could be pulling my legs and perhaps it's a clever way for Lucid to get the full payment of the car - but if that were the case, I am sure their would be many complaints here about such a bait and switch.

Car arrived at the Michigan service center 4/11 and is going thru inspection process. So less than two weeks from VIN to transport across the country. Not bad. There were about 20 new vehicles at the service center getting ready for delivery. Mine is VIN # 1051.
