Just note that DAs do have access to the “planned” list of builds and prioritized manufacturer dates/order. At bare minimum, Lucid is communicating and is aware of the order priority and queue car orders/builds are going into the factory. That priority list (as of now) is supposedly still accurate. Note the estimated dates I’ve been given below (which are pretty darn reasonable really).

Honestly, I’m reading more doom and gloom in these forums than I (someone who does work for an EV competitor on their software) seems to think is justified. Lucid is doing a pretty good job for someone who just started actually delivering cars in Oct/Nov 2021 for the very first time and I’m excited to see when they hit a proper uptick.

For the tracker list. I used to on there but cant find me anymore in one of your latest post. I have: received confirmed order 3/30/2022, agt, silver, tahoe, 19".

I appreciate your information and hope it is correct. My confirmation date was April 19th so your dates should work for me, or so I would hope. We shall see...
I believe a lot of doom and gloom is caused, justly, by a few folks who have been patiently waiting since last year and still don't have their cars. I feel for them and can understand their frustraton. I have a hard time understanding why Lucid has not delivered the cars to them, or at least they should have been in close communication with them explaining the delays.
I do agree with your assessment that given this is a startup process, Lucid (for the most part) is doing a remarkable job, especially compared to all of the growth problems Tesla had to go through. Plus, Lucid's production numbers are compounded from supply chain issues. Looking at a number of other auto makers who are now jumping into the EV business, I see many have long lines of people with reservation that run longer than a year. I was pleased when I was told my wait should be in the 2 to 5 months range.

For whatever reason such as the FORD F-150 Electric claiming 100K or more reservation, makes no sense. Problem is people who want to buy a 155-180K car before TTL, may start looking at alternatives IF they become available. Do we know the wait times on a Model-S Plaid?
 
Confirmed on January 5, Zenith Red GT, Tahoe Interior, 19” wheels, VIN on 4/19/22, no delivery yet

According to Tom's Guide two days ago: "The standard Tesla Model S (from $99,990) currently promises a delivery estimate sometime between March and June 2023 in its cheapest configuration. But paying a bit extra can improve that by several months.
It’s possible to bump your delivery estimate up to between November 2022 and February 2023 by paying for one of four premium paint jobs ($1,500 - $2,500), 21-inch wheels ($4,500) as well as the black & white and cream interiors ($2,000). This shortened wait time also applies to different seat configurations, so if you need six ($6,5000) or seven ($3,500) then you won't need to wait as long."

This is what the article said for Plaid: "However the more expensive Tesla Model S Plaid (from $135,990) currently has a delivery estimate between June and August this year. Which is as good as you’ll get, regardless of whether you pay up for any extra add-ons or paint jobs."
 
Of course, that assumes you have to have an EV. Lucid checked the boxes for me to try out an EV. My alternatives are not EV’s and I have started looking around just in case.

A few dealerships are showing some inventory just to bait you into calling so they can try and sway you towards what else might be on the lot. What they advertise and what is on the lot can be different.

Does it have the range to go across your living room and back?
 
On May 13th I changed my April 11th Gray, Tahoe confirmed order to a Red, Tahoe order. The DA said it should not delay my yet to be determined delivery date. We will see.

Can you confirm what date you confirmed? The earliest confirmation date was November 2nd.
 
I changed mine from White to Grey back in March and it didnot seem to haveaffected my delivery BUT NOW this new 3rd Inspection seems to be affecting it and also a bit disconcerting as to the issues they had that has required this. Then on the other hand better to have them do this pre delivery rather than me having a car that is not drivable.

Also trying to confirm that there is no film out there that can prevent marks from someone scratching the car or dings then perhaps I can get a way with Ceramic and just the front end, mirrors and door handles with film.

Nothing can prevent a physical dent but the scratch might be preventable with ppf and ceramic...maybe

I mean, preventing physical damage for things like dents requires harder to bend material. It’s not a “coating” thing unless you’re coating your car with metal and concrete. PPF is just as described, paint protection which is not body reinforcement. It’s weird how many people ask this question and don’t compare it to something as simple as an iPhone screen protector… which it basically is. It’s not a otterbox case.
