First Dream Edition Delivery!

Can't your vendor cut around the decal?
Don’t do this. Can they? Yes. Should they? No. Just get Lucid to get you a second set of decals.

The same thing was an issue when wrapping the Air with the Air badge. You had to remove the badge with a piece of floss, and the badge is so thin it almost always broke and never sat adhered fully again. Much easier to just buy a new badge for like $20 or whatever.

Wow. That's even tackier than I thought. And the location that close to the door is weird.

How did this thing get past the design team? It doesn't look like it even conforms to the curve in the fender.
To each their own. I find the logo appropriate and attractive.

Peter would have not been agreed on this, since there is a chance of 0.01miles loss on range due to this 🙂
Actually, Peter was quite proud of the bears. The original decals were his idea as I recall.

I quite like them, personally.

I like the decal and got them applied on my GT 😁

Congrats.
Can you comment on the rearview mirror? How is it compared to your other cars? On the Lucid Air, it's a very "compressed" and distorted view and I can't see very well the cars behind me.
Thank you.
Is this the mirror or the rear window glass? Either way, it's much better in my 2025 Air Pure. I noticed it (and didn't like it) in a couple of 2022/23 loaners I have driven.

So sorry everyone! I know the speculation has been WILD around the internet, but I do in fact have the vehicle and it is currently in my garage.

There are two bear logos, and on the drivers side the bear is facing towards the front of the vehicle and on the passengers side the bear is facing towards the rear of the vehicle. And yes, the logo is thick. It’s metal, likely aluminum. I’d say about the thickness of sheet metal.

What things would you like to know about the vehicle??
Would you know what the list of "Dream Edition Premium" things are? I'm figuring the Frunk Seat .. Thanks /keith

Yes. I did mention, however, that I'm a bit of an outlier on this issue, not only disliking the bears on the fenders, but also thinking Lucid has gone overboard in pushing the California ethos in their branding. Although I lived in and loved pretty much everything about California, there are many parts of the country where a California product identity doesn't play that well.

Proud Texas resident here who still loves the California ethos. But then I was born in Santa Cruz.

Although interesting that the bear is based on the California Brown Bear (sub-species of Grizzly) that is found on the California state flag. The California Brown Bear has been extinct for about 100 years. Plenty of black bears still in California but no more browns.

I agree with you 100% on both issues. No bear for me and cool it on the California themes(does not play well at all in many places).

What can you tell us about "DreamConnect Premium"?
Is there a basic version below the premium? Seems implied by the name, but no information provided by Lucid.

While I think the bear is an interesting logo, I don't really get it and I don't think it's aligned with the brand.

- Hmm, Lucid you say? What does a bear have to do with Lucid?
- It's an homage to California.
- Oh, I get it. So it's a California company?
- No, they're based in Arizona.
- [scratches head]
- But they started in California.
- Uhhhh, OK. Seems weird. I've heard about these California tech companies that burn cash. Is this company gonna make it?
- Oh yeah, no problem. They're burning cash but it's no problem because they're mostly Saudi backed.
- So it's a car whose name means clarity based on the root word for light that is based in Arizona with money from Saudi so their mascot is the one from California. I get it!
- Yup, you do!

They were founded in California, and still based here. Headquarters is in the Bay Area. The manufacturing plant is in Arizona.

I, too, love the California ethos from having lived in the Hollywood Hills back in the day. (I came very close to returning to California for retirement but didn't for family reasons.)

However, I like to think of myself as an ambassador for the Lucid brand and enjoy answering the questions I still get from strangers about the car. I tell them how great it drives and rides, how efficient it is, how it was launched by the man who engineered the original Tesla Model S . . . anything that I think will increase their interest in looking further into the brand.

Being in Florida, I make sure to add it is built in the U.S. However, two things I studiously avoid mentioning: the company is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia, and the California design origins. And I do not want to get any questions about why the car has something as odd as a bear on its front fender.

Why so? There are more Trump voters in California than in 15 (or something similar) MAGA states combined. Also, more people voted for Trump in California than in Texas (also a large state)

Let's not go there today. We've probably talked enough about the bear logo, anyway (and somewhat my fault). The spotlight should be on the first U.S. Gravity Dream delivery and what @Osyris is discovering about his car.
