You can turn it off.I wear eyeglasses and sometimes Im already blank staring on the road and it's still telling me to pay attention to the road lol but overall as someone who easily falls asleep I find the warning to be helpful (I could fall asleep within 5 mins of sitting on the train or bus and usually I could fall asleep too before plane takes off).
It would be nice if we can customize some buttons on the screen. I'd have an on off switch for this feature
In one press? I meant customize buttons on the dash panel so it's quick and not having to dig through settings. You can turn it off.
Settings, dreamdrive, toggle the distracted driver/drowsy driver alertsPlease- How do I turn off pay attention? Owners manual is unusable IMHO
The steering wheel senses torque, not grip. Just turn it a little bit.Of late I have been receiving keep hands on wheel message when my hands are already on the wheel. It’s a bright red warning with a constant chime and it stays on for around 30 seconds before it disappears. Sometimes if I take my hands off the wheel and grip it back really tight it goes away
Great info. Thanks. The steering wheel senses torque, not grip. Just turn it a little bit.
Thanks! Will try next time .The steering wheel senses torque, not grip. Just turn it a little bit.
Forget the manual. Go sit in the car for an hour and understand every menu and setting.Please- How do I turn off pay attention? Owners manual is unusable IMHO
Right. The steering wheel senses torque, not grip. Just turn it a little bit.
I’ve consistently been ‘bugged’ by the “Drivers Monitoring Camera Cannot Detect Their Face” alert.I keep reading these posts and I feel like I'm in bizarro world. Maybe it's certain kinds of sunglasses that gives people issues? The steering wheel position? For me, it doesn't matter if I have my regular glasses or polarized sunglasses; I never get this warning unless I am actually not looking at the road.
I get the same warning coming on and off randomly. My camera is not blocked at all.I’ve consistently been ‘bugged’ by the “Drivers Monitoring Camera Cannot Detect Their Face” alert.
I assumed the camera was located in upper right of front cockpit panel and kept adjusting steering wheel to insure this area not blocked and concluded I must have a defective camera.
However a trip to Seattle Service Center and consultation with Christina learned the camera is located in center and just below center panel.
Adjusting steering wheel to insure this line if sight not blocked solved the issue.
I sent a memo to Customer Support suggesting this interior camera location be added to the owners manual.
