I've been in the car when it was 115 and was out and about yesterday and have never noticed any extra heat coming from my glass roof!Just received my Touring yesterday April 11 in Scottsdale after waiting almost a year. I waited for the metal roof as I didn't think the Arizona sun would be good. After pickup yesterday, Phoenix got up to over 101 degrees. Was nice not to have that sun beating down on me.
If you are going to be out of the car for less than 45 minutes, just set the temperature hold when you park. This works great for running into a store and coming back out. If the car has been in the sun for a long time, like at work, I set the remote cooling about 10 minutes before I get to my car. The remote cooling turns on both the front and back systems. If you get into a hot car without pre-cooling, turning on the rear AC will help.I've been meaning to ask the AZ group about best practices for cooling the car. I was at Tempe Town Lake a couple of days ago, and had the car sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. This was really the first time it's been outside in the heat for any period of time since taking delivery in December. Anyway, I felt it took a long time to cool down. I set the a/c to 59 and turned on the seat ventilation. Is there anything else people are doing to cool the car when it's super hot? Was wondering if I should have cracked the windows a bit or turned on the rear a/c too.
In the future, I think I'll try to do a better job remember to remotely turn on the a/c well before I get in. And raise the rear and side window blinds. But was just thinking that the cooling performance earlier this week wasn't as good as some of the ICE cars I've had in the past.
Excellent, thanks! If you are going to be out of the car for less than 45 minutes, just set the temperature hold when you park. This works great for running into a store and coming back out. “The Salt River valley, popularly called the Valley of the Sun, includes not only Phoenix but also nearby cities such as Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tempe.”

The car is manufactured in Arizona, I would really hope they have at least the heat aspect of testing down lolI've been in the car when it was 115 and was out and about yesterday and have never noticed any extra heat coming from my glass roof!
Okay this is what you should do. Next time you get in your car in June put both hands on your glass roof and don’t remove them for 20 seconds and please record it lolI've been in the car when it was 115 and was out and about yesterday and have never noticed any extra heat coming from my glass roof!
The see through ness of the glass is going to be a curve ball for AZ heat. Do you have most your windows ceramic tinted? I feel that’s a must on any car with this much glass.I've been meaning to ask the AZ group about best practices for cooling the car. This is very intriguing a Touring with metal roof great for our heatJust received my Touring yesterday April 11 in Scottsdale after waiting almost a year. Does that make us twins? I got my white metal-roof Touring the day before (shout out to Brandon, my excellent delivery specialist). This is my first post in the Arizona forum. Even with the metal roof, I'm surprised how warm the car is. I had ceramic tint on my lots-of-glass C6 'Vette which seemed to help a lot, and I'll be checking the options mentioned on the tinting threads here, plus the Autobahn (formerly Huper Optik) film I had.Just received my Touring yesterday April 11 in Scottsdale after waiting almost a year.
