Arizona

I will be at the largest car show of the year in Arizona at the Concours in Fountain Hills Arizona 2/4 Saturday 10-3pm. Encourage you all to check out the event. I am sure Lucid will be there as well as they were there last year. My EV will be featured in the Scottsdale EV Association booth. I will be representing AZ ev community and chatting and showing off Evs.

Anyone up for a drive to Winkelman on Feb 11? @Pwmac and I are in and it would be great to a few others to join us. We will plan lunch in Winkelman. You may be asking why Winkelman, so here are three reasons:
  1. Many of us have lived in AZ for years and have never heard of Winkelman and have never been there. At least I have not been there.
  2. We own the greatest driving machine on the planet and need any excuse to drive it.
  3. There is a mexican resturant called Maria's in Winkleman that gets good yelp reviews.
Route back is TBD. If tempratures are warm enough for summer tires in Globe we could check out the new EA chargers there. Another option is coming back thorugh Oracle and Florence. Lastly, we could go back the way we came through Superior.
We are skiing that weekend in WY otherwise we would have been very happy to meet you and drive to Winkelman. You are correct, I have never heard of Winkelman.

Here is the plan to Winkelman on Feb 11.
  1. Meet up at the Apache Creek Golf Club at 10:00 AM. Location is just south of the 60 on Ironwood.
  2. Drive to Superior and then on to Winkelman.
  3. Lunch at Maria's in Winkelman.
  4. Return via Globe - Weather is supposed to be upper 60's in Globe so no issue for summer tires.
  5. Check out the new APS/EA chargers in Globe.
  6. Return to Phoenix
@Pwmac and I will be going. Please let us know if anyone else wants to join in.

If there us anyone that wants to join at the last minute, let @Pwmac and me know. We are still on for Saturday.

We will probably plan another drive in about 6 weeks so if there is some place that you have always wanted to go in AZ, please post a suggestion here.

The @carguy and @Pwmac had a great time today. Other than being called a Jackass for crashing a car show in Mesa, we met lots of friendly and fun people. Maria's restaurant in Winkelman is one of those awesome small town dives with great food and even better service. There are a couple of biker groups that stopped for lunch also and took a lot of interest in our Lucids. Very nice people out enjoying AZ. The drive was great, some of the best high desert scenery in AZ along with some fun roads. It was a good chance to try out passing gear, aka Sprint Mode. Needless to say Lucid makes passing easy. You can get around multiple cars going 60 mph in a few hundred feet. Here are some pictures below. I am not sure what was up with the truck in the 4th picture but I guess he must be dreaming of a Lucid someday.

It looks like someone on Redit was spotting wild Lucids in Winkelman.

Crashing a car show with a car?....

Hey guys, been quiet for a while as I wasn't really getting any updates on my care (stealth metal roof touring), and since it keeps getting pushed back and they offered the 7500 credit, I ended up contacting ethan (my DA) and changed my config to QG AT with glass roof so I could get the car quicker. FOr those of you who got your ppf/tint here, I reallIy like the sleekness of the stealth look and am hoping to get something similar done in after market - any tips? looking forward to meeting you in person I near future with my car in hand! Thanks
