I know that. But that doesn't diminish my post.Uhh... he also has an android lol
On a worldwide basis we cannot be sure, but in the US iPhones are more common with Lucids as evidenced by the numerous polls!

I mean, we have a data set here in the US. It skews heavily towards Apple users. Can we extrapolate that out worldwide? Somewhat, but it's no secret that even though Android has an overwhelming marketshare worldwide, the majority of that share is from, less affluent users, not the targeted market for Lucid. Take offense, it you must, but facts are facts.Wow, that's a big assumption.
Your way of thinking suggests, people with money can afford Lucid, hence they sure have an iPhone.
What a load of crap.
Think before you post.
(And I'm being very gentle here).
To be clear: this isn’t gentle, and I’d ask you to please do better. Your interpretation is not the most charitable interpretation possible, and that is what we aim for here. We all have disagreements; it’s how we all learn.Wow, that's a big assumption.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here, and in the vein of taking the most charitable interpretation, could you please clarify? It sounds like sarcasm but it simultaneously sounds like you’re proving the counterpoint?Because...who gives a crap about some Car play/Android Auto when you are inside?
For specifically the "once you are inside" comment, I believe he was referring to the visceral driving experience you get with a Lambo or Ferrari. Also, is there any worldwide data similar to the one cited, as we are specifically talking about that?To be clear: this isn’t gentle, and I’d ask you to please do better. Your interpretation is not the most charitable interpretation possible, and that is what we aim for here. We all have disagreements; it’s how we all learn.
Also, he’s not wrong. People with iPhones have higher incomes on average. People who buy Lucids also have higher incomes on average, over and over again, across multiple studies.
Thus, it is not absurd to surmise that the intersection of those two groups might be higher, as is evidenced by the overwhelmingly higher percentage of people who own both Lucid Airs and iPhones in the US as compared to those that own Lucid Airs and an Android device - we can see that from the poll on this forum as well.

[0] No study to support this, but it seems obviously true; people with lower incomes quite literally cannot afford a Lucid Air as compared to, say, a Model 3 or a cheaper ICE vehicle right now.
I know that. But you get that with a Lucid too. The reason I love this car (and most do) is because of how it drives, not because of CarPlay. That’s why I said he was proving the counterpoint, and it seems confusing. For specifically the "once you are inside" comment, I believe he was referring to the visceral driving experience you get with a Lambo or Ferrari.
Feel free to look for it I didn’t find any such data from a cursory Google search, and I have other things to do.Also, is there any worldwide data similar to the one cited, as we are specifically talking about that?
Yeah, that V0 engine in the Lucid sounds GLORIOUS! As emotional as a Huracan... /sI know that. But you get that with a Lucid too. The reason I love this car (and most do) is because of how it drives, not because of CarPlay. That’s why I said he was proving the counterpoint, and it seems confusing.
That could be true, and I will do more research into it. Where my parents come from, to give an example, expensive androids are preferred over iPhones because iPhones have a "spoiled brat" or "new money showoff" reputation for some reason. There might be other places like that, and I'll check that later!Feel free to look for it I didn’t find any such data from a cursory Google search, and I have other things to do.
That said, I have no reason to believe it would be different elsewhere; iPhones are, on average, more expensive than Android devices - that already leads to necessitating a higher income on average. In addition, every study ever done on the topic has shown that people with iPhones spend more money, on average, on apps and in-app purchases and subscriptions, also leading one to assume those owners have more disposable income.
That’s not proof, but without any data disproving it, I tend to align myself with Occam’s razor; it’s not a very far leap.
I know this may out me as not a traditional motorhead, but I have to say, I don't want my car to huff and groan and let out smelly dinosaur farts when I drive it. I want it to drive. When I put my foot down, I don't want it to take a moment to think, build up some mild indigestion, and then decide to go forward. I want it to go. It's a machine. An instrument. I'll take care of the emotions, all it has to do is what I tell it to. And the Air is pretty damn good at doing what I tell it to.Yeah, that V0 engine in the Lucid sounds GLORIOUS! As emotional as a Huracan... /s
The Lucid does drive amazingly well as others will tell you, but even you have to admit there are more "emotional" cars in terms of powertrains and other things (like the r8 you liked, for example)!
Between you and I, Lamborghini messed up the exhaust completely, when comparing V12 and V10.And if its a Lambo, once you rev up the glorious V10/12!
Agreed on all.To be clear: this isn’t gentle, and I’d ask you to please do better. Your interpretation is not the most charitable interpretation possible, and that is what we aim for here. We all have disagreements; it’s how we all learn.

Pixel 8 works seamlessly with Lucid. On the lighter note,
Anybody and everybody who would like to own a Lucid should buy an iPhone. Poof, the magic (but it's just a magic).
The reason I love this car (and most do) is because of how it drives
It is clear that Lucid staff monitors this forum. Given all the comments about Android Auto I would think Lucid would have the good sense to comment on the issues regarding the implementation and provide a projected schedule. You would think that Android Auto would be easier to implement on an Android vehicle stack, right?
The implementation and delivery of Android Auto should not be tied to Apple CarPlay.
Lucid's communication on its software development is mediocre at best. Customer surveys always show that admitting issues and product delays are better than receiving no communication at all from a company. This lack of official information about Android Auto/Apple CarPlay really doesn't help Lucid in a competitive market.
Interesting statistics. I didn't realize that Android phones are so much cheaper. I tend not to think of it that way. I have an Android phone and the rest of the family has/had iPhones. My phone cost more than either of theirs.I mean, we have a data set here in the US. It skews heavily towards Apple users. Can we extrapolate that out worldwide? The most expensive Android phones are as much as the priciest iPhones. Most Android users buy much cheaper Android phones. Apple has nothing that cheap. Although there is the SE, as well as one or two prior generation phones Apple continues to sell.Interesting statistics. I didn't realize that Android phones are so much cheaper. I tend not to think of it that way. I have an Android phone and the rest of the family has/had iPhones. My phone cost more than either of theirs.
That would never happen. It is clear that Lucid staff monitors this forum. Given all the comments about Android Auto I would think Lucid would have the good sense to comment on the issues regarding the implementation and provide a projected schedule.
He did not mention anything about emotion.Yeah, that V0 engine in the Lucid sounds GLORIOUS! As emotional as a Huracan... /s
I never denied that. I still love the R8. If I had disposable cash, and room for another car, you bet your ass I'd be in one.The Lucid does drive amazingly well as others will tell you, but even you have to admit there are more "emotional" cars in terms of powertrains and other things (like the r8 you liked, for example)!
