Air Dream Deliveries?

Same here. AGT on order for delivery hopefully in the first half of the year. I'm hoping to see and perhaps drive one in real life before I take delivery. Seaport is supposed to have a studio in Q1 2022, but it appears they are still hiring for the studio manager. We were supposed to head down to NYC this week to visit the studio there, but Omicron threw a wrench into those plans.

Sadly, I think the website has pushed the Seaport Studio back to Q2 of 2022.

My GF happened to be in NYC last weekend and had lunch right next to the studio. She stopped in and took some pictures for me.

I'm so torn about the tires. I like the rings on the 21s but the 19s are the only ones with all seasons. I'm not big on having sets to swap regularly.

Also not sure about the interior color pics. Would love to see them in person, full size.

So what I can share is that it is absolutely a fit and finish item.

I was told the cars are all “drivable “ however, they are refusing to release any that have so much as a scratch on the metal and are repairing/replacing any of those fit and finish items.

reading between the lines some suppliers dropped the ball and they are holding vehicles for those various items.

The way I understand it is they have been desperately hoping to get these parts and were hoping until the last minute they could. She mentioned they had been flying people to the suppliers to try to even load parts on planes where possible.

I don’t think the intention here was to mislead, I think they want to get a perfect product out the door, won’t release till it is that state, and miscalculated what they could get from certain vendors.

Talking with her, while I am annoyed at the way communication has been done, I understand it. I also have very high confidence that they are working hard to get us near perfect vehicles from a mechanical pov (software is a work in progress I’m thinking).

Okay so you had the conversation but you can't tell us specifically what parts are involved?? Did she indicate how long she really believes this is going to take to resolve. Are we talking next week, end of January, longer??

She would only say they were fit and finish, I don’t know which parts they are. The examples I mentioned were said in passing not as a “it is these exactly”.

sounds like they don’t know the exact dates but are moving as fast as possible. She seemed hopeful for early Jan.

I went with 19 inch. I was switching between performance and snows with my Audi S6, and it was a bit too much of a hassle. I’m hoping that the weight of the car combined with all-seasons will be enough to handle Boston weather. The 19 inch wheels are pretty ugly, but they’re hard to see when you‘re driving.

Bummer about the delay for the Boston studio but not a surprise.

Since so many people who have reservations for Lucid would like to have a choice between hi performance summer tires and all season tires for the winter weather, I don't understand why Lucid will not accommodate its customers by giving them a choice of tire. Porsche Taycan and BMW i-4 has it. It should not be that hard. After all every single Lucid car is going to have a problem when the temperature drops below 35-40 degrees and is going to be unsafe to drive in that type of weather

Honestly, the feeling I got from my conversation with my DA about the “parts” is that it may be a while. He did not say weeks or months, but he also didn’t say days. He emphasized that they have to await the replacement “part,” clear it for quality, install it on a multitude of cars, my car has to go through QC checks, get cleared, be prepared for shipping…. Just the way he talked, I feel like it will be February, maybe later. That’s ok. Maybe they’ll get the software and the door handles figured out in the meantime!

Did Alex get his car someone tweeted the haulers moving today upclose!
I received the car around 8pm on 30-Dec. It was dark and raining and they had to drive the car into my neighborhood because they though the car carrier may not fit in the narrow streets. It was an enclosed carrier and the car was already prepped. The rain stopped long enough for them to go over the car. I'll post more stuff in the in a new thread later on.

Congratulations! Rain notwithstanding.
I may be mistaken @hmp10 but won't you be the first on this forum to receive the Zenith Red? If so, really looking forward to hearing your impressions and seeing a few pictures. Best wishes for a smooth arrival today. Congrats to you as well, @Alex!

I'm not sure. If I'm the first on this forum, there may still have been others delivered, as only a small subset of Dream recipients seem to be posting about them. I'll see what the delivery person can tell me today.

Congrats! Which # Dream are you? It is a collectors item!

I wonder if these are production order or reservation order. I am curious to learn what number hmp10 has.
i have been wondering the same thing.

Hmp will have a very low number. He reserved very early. My guess is the final Dream number for 2021 won't reach 200. They will have produced probably somewhere between 400 and 500 but only delivered less than 200. The rest of us Dream Edition confirmed orders will be lucky to see our cars by end of January. As said by others, worth waiting if they get the quality down pat!!

Congrats! Looking forward to your pics and review about your experience.

Maybe next time one of you communicates with Lucid for your order you can ask the rep what # dream you will be receiving, if that info is available for them to give. The dreams appear to be marked by number but with no indication 520 will be the final count. If the car were marked #026 of 520 then the amount would be pretty much set in stone. For those who have received your dream is this how your DE number is marked? this screen shot was taken off a video review of a "production dream edition"

When buying a dream we are told it is one of 520. If they sell more than 520, there will likely be a lawsuit. It reduces the value of the DE.

note: nothing in my communications with junior or senior employees leads me to believe there is any chance of this occurring. They have been pretty upfront with that type of information.
