3.0 on Air

I figured out that it works if you turn curb rash alert off and back on, but the next time the car goes to sleep, it stops working again.

@marqie is there a fix for this?

Have finally downloaded and installed. In general, very impressed. Much of it is intuitive. I like for example that when I change the Navi on the "dash panel" to something else (ex. Audi) the Navi on the Pilot panel automatically pops up the window w/stats (miles to go, minutes to go, next turn) recognizing that this info is needed having disappeared above on the dash. Have also been able to save favorites on my Navi. Little things like that are pretty cool.

If I've missed something (this thread is 23 pages) I apologize in advance, but has anyone seen fit to post an FAQ or a "cool tips" about the new UX? I vaguely recall, for example hearing that you can customize the "cards" on the dash screen. Does such a page or post exist yet?

Noticed a couple of possible bugs.

After charging for the first time after 2.11, this screen was displayed: Bottom control selectors are missing.

Had to pull down the shortcut menu or whatever it is called and select Trip information.

Also, after charging, the Profile was set to Guest. That has happened two out of two times so far. I'll test again sometime this week. (No AA connection and none of my settings were enabled).

Verbal commands related to audio are really messed up.

I used to be able to say “Switch to Tune-in Radio” or “switch to Tidal”. Those commands no longer work. When I ask it to switch to tune-in it says I don’t have an account. (I do).

None of the voice commands about audio seem to work at all.

Definitely report this to [email protected]. Include your VIN and a time stamp. Include a video if possible.

As far as I am concerned is the biggest fail by Lucid @marqie was not including a tutorial about how to use the new features. I have spent 2-3 hours sitting in the parked car trying to learn by trail and error. I have spent several other hours consuming the posts here and on FB learning from others, both learning and sharing what I have learned.

My hot takes:

The home page 3 cards are not helpful. The Nav card shows a small FOV of no utility and the motion is distracting. The Phone card shows no useful information. The Music card is nice. The overall appearance is now cluttered with less utility. Simpler and cleaner would be better.

The one touch access to CarPlay/AA is nice. But once using CarPlay/AA, there’s now no one touch way to get back to the Home Screen or other cockpit screens. You have to go to the tile view of apps in CarPlay to click on Lucid to get out.

The multitasking on the Pilot screen is nice. But it’s located out of the quick field of vision while driving so functions need to be obvious and easy to use. For example, using music on the Pilot screen should display the current song and controls as a larger part of screen real estate and place them on the top of the screen, not the very bottom.

Finally, my biggest disappointment is the gray background now present throughout the UI which is a BIG step down to me. It’s distracting at night and, to my eye, far less luxurious and professional than the jet black background in UX 2.0. It’s like a monitor with the black point setting way off or a badly set TV.

To be fair, my opinions are likely biased by my using CarPlay for most of my apps (except Tidal). Perhaps I’d feel differently if I relied on Lucid Nav, but I fear it won’t reroute me around accidents and delays on a long drive like Google/Waze does.

Totally agree on all points, except you can go in and out of CP/AA by tapping the CP/AA icon at the top of the dash screen, up where the clock and outside temperature is displayed.

I'm with you on pretty much all of this. The first time I drove at night I found the non-black background to be distracting and a lot brighter. Essentially, this is a re-skin that unlinked the two main screens.

Gotta say I agree with you on the card interface. I wanted to live with it for a while before forming an opinion, but after a hundred miles or so I find myself skipping the home screen entirely. Also kinda irks me that the cards (and the status bar) aren't rendered within the bounds of the display. Maybe it makes more sense on Gravity hardware? Hopefully we get some customization options to these cards at some point, or they're enhanced with additional functionality.
