3.0 on Air

My hot takes:

The home page 3 cards are not helpful. The Nav card shows a small FOV of no utility and the motion is distracting. The Phone card shows no useful information. The Music card is nice. The overall appearance is now cluttered with less utility. Simpler and cleaner would be better.

The one touch access to CarPlay/AA is nice. But once using CarPlay/AA, there’s now no one touch way to get back to the Home Screen or other cockpit screens. You have to go to the tile view of apps in CarPlay to click on Lucid to get out.

The multitasking on the Pilot screen is nice. But it’s located out of the quick field of vision while driving so functions need to be obvious and easy to use. For example, using music on the Pilot screen should display the current song and controls as a larger part of screen real estate and place them on the top of the screen, not the very bottom.

Finally, my biggest disappointment is the gray background now present throughout the UI which is a BIG step down to me. It’s distracting at night and, to my eye, far less luxurious and professional than the jet black background in UX 2.0. It’s like a monitor with the black point setting way off or a badly set TV.

To be fair, my opinions are likely biased by my using CarPlay for most of my apps (except Tidal). Perhaps I’d feel differently if I relied on Lucid Nav, but I fear it won’t reroute me around accidents and delays on a long drive like Google/Waze does.

The close mirrors should be returned to the home page. I use this to exit and enter my tight garage space.
The music page needs improvement. The USB music selection is not on the Initial Music page. After I found it, the USB 1 stopped playing. I had to select USB2 to get it to work. Not sure why there is USB1 and USB 2. Now I cannot find selection to get back to FM radio. The audio quality is much better.
Not sure if this is related to the update but the Send to Lucid from the app did not work.

The roof light stays on even when I turn off the ambient lights or "vibe", anyone experience that?
Android Auto works fine for me but no changes from the last version, why don't they use the whole screen?
Also, idk if it was already mentioned but why remove the glovebox button from the homepage and make the regen options bigger and permanent?

I realize that there are different opinions on what PaaK needs to do to be considered "working correctly". My definition is that the driver's side door unlocks within one or two seconds without having to a) take my iPhone out of my pocket, b) unlock the phone, c) open the Lucid app, d) unlock the Lucid in the app. Just like my Tesla did. In more than a year, I have always had to at least take the phone out of my pocket. The majority of the time, I had to also unlock the phone. There were plenty of times I still had to open the app. And even a few times where I literally had to unlock the car in the app. Today I deleted/removed/forgot my iPhone and I am thrilled to say that 10 times out of 10, my Air unlocked within 2 seconds of arrival with my phone locked in my pocket. With my phone locked in my hand, not in my pocket, the Lucid unlocked every time before I even reached the driver's side door. YMMV, but if you are struggling with PaaK it's worth the 30 minutes to completely uninstall/forget your phone and start with a fresh mobile key. Is it UX 3.0? The new phone install? Both in combination? I wish I knew!

When I am walking to my car along with my Wife, We both have our phones set to the car as a mobile key. For some reason, The car sets to my wife profile even when she walks towards the passengers side. I have to sit and manually change it to my profile. Justa note that my phone and my profile is the primary profile.
Our 2026 AT does this almost every time on 2.10, still waiting for the 2.11 update.

I think Luci prefers my wife to me. Even though I am the one that feeds her and washes her.
