Homelink Triggering On Its Own

It does sound like Gravity software as the root cause is a high probability. I hope everyone is submitting to swfeedback with vin and timestamps. Intermittent problems can be very difficult to diagnose.

To those who have experienced this, are you triggering homelink via the custom button on the steering wheel or the menu on the screen?
For me it’s the custom button that seems to start to close the garage door, then it will stop and reopen. Or when opening it, it’ll just stop in the middle and sit there.

I've had this happen twice recently. I'm not sure if I can pin it down to the Gravity though. I have a Liftmaster 8165 with a ratgdo board attached. I can see when the motors and doors move via the ratgdo, but I can't tell what triggers it. Might be time to set up the RTL-SDR to see if I can correlate a remote triggering it.

Just had a phantom trigger happen to our car as we were pulling out of the driveway. The garage door closed on the car and caused damage. We're waiting to hear back from Lucid.

We only ever use the on screen buttons, don't have an additional opener in the car and didn't have any of the smart garage opener apps on our phones. I've since installed the app to pull logs but they aren't as helpful as I would have hoped. AI tells me they show the closing wasn't triggered by the app. Will see what Lucid's telemetry shows.

I would highly recommend to stop using Homelink if you care about the car. I paid extra for the install and now I'm worried Lucid will hide behind their warranty carve out (which I learned about after he incident).

After spending $200 on the Infinity Shield because I was worried about this, the Homelink has functioned flawlessly. Belt and suspenders to the rescue, but I think its coincidence

What kind of garage door opener do you have? And what app pulls down what logs?

I believe it's a liftmaster. I installed the MyQ app after the incident. It shows a history of open/close events but unfortunately doesn't show any kind of sending device ID.

Phantom braking, phantom homelink... I'm starting to see a pattern... 😂
