Hi everyone, I wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue. I have homelink configured on my gravity (had it on my air, have it on my taycan, have it on my 4rs) and I have noticed (or not noticed really) that for whatever reason, the gravity stores failed attempts of opening the garage. Or at least thats what I think is happening. Whenever the key comes back into range to unlock the car, it sends the command and it opens the garage door without me noticing. This has happened 3 or 4 times but just happened again last night and many times I don't notice that the garage door is open until the next day as I work from home and so does my girlfriend.

As you can see, I came home yesterday at 4:45 PM, closed the garage at 4:46 PM, and then the car triggered an open at 4:49 PM which I missed. I didn't realize that it was open until today at 5:02 when I finally went out to the garage (yes I know I live a sad life given I didn't go out to the front of my house or garage for over 24 hours).

Is anyone else experiencing this? If someone doesn't walk into the house and kill me overnight then my girlfriend definitely will next time this happens. She is furious about it and I am trying to not let it affect our Gravity ownership but she is starting to feel a little unsafe because of it. Understandably so.

I don't think its a me thing given I have had so many other cars setup with homelink but maybe it is? Just trying to see if this is indeed a bug that others are noticing or if its a layer 8 problem.

Yeah I think I will probably do the same. Simple fix for now until its fixed. Silly we have to do it but oh well. I would love if Lucid would acknowledge it at the very least and give a timeline on a fix.

Yes, it happened to me on 9/7/26. . I immediately reported all the details including time stamps, etc. to Lucid but have not heard anything back.
I also posted on the forum.
This is a huge safety concern for me.

Phantom braking, phantom homelink... I'm starting to see a pattern... 😂
 
This is annoying but hopefully an easy fix. Fingers crossed that it's addressed in the imminent software update along with the window raising issues some have flagged.
 
I think this has been an on again, off again issue for folks for a year. I recall a bunch of posts back in September last year. I think back then Lucid did acknowledge it…that said, of all the prior issues, it was at the bottom of my personal list.

For me it’s the menu button on the screen.

For me it happens when using either the on screen button or the custom button. I.E. I'll only use the on screen button for a month and the issue appears, then I'll switch to using the custom button exclusively and it will also appear after some time.
 
Wow, I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what could have caused my garage door to open by itself the other day. I started to get paranoid about thieves spoofing my opener, etc. I’m glad I found this post so I have a better idea of what’s causing it.

By the way, I noticed people mentioning using the steering wheel button to trigger home link. I set that up early on when I got my gravity, and I noticed when I pressed the button it just pulled up the menu on the screen to select which garage door to open (even though I only have one programmed). I could never get it to actually open the door. Are you guys able to do that, and if so, how?
 
This happened to me once, but hasn't recurred. To address it (since I also use MyQ for internet access to the door state) I get a warning on my phone if the garage door has been open more than 10 minutes. But since I've done that, homelink has been completely reliable, and more responsive in the car, so I just assumed that whatever was the cause had been addressed in the UI upgrade.

I've moved it to the custom button and the random triggering hasn't occurred since. However, after about a month and a half the custom button stops working and I have to reset the car or move something else into the custom button for a day or so and move it back in order for it to work again.

Mine's on the menu on the screen.

That's very strange. It should just open the garage door if you only have one programmed. I've had mine set up since I got the Gravity last December and it's been opening the garage door since. It's like it thinks you have multiple entries for some reason
