Gravity Delivery Discussion

All right! This video had 8971 views when I started it (only 34 minutes after it was posted) and was up to 14,460 when I finished.

It's too bad he got a car with the key fob problem, but at least he didn't dwell on it. It appeared he judged the third-row legroom with the second row run all the way back, something that no one would need to do to keep the second row roomy enough for almost anybody.

I was surprised (and relieved) that he found the software to be functioning well. And I agree with him that the design of the UI and its integration with manual controls is good to the point of being almost inspired.

And what's to argue with the conclusion about how well the Gravity drives? There's nothing like it in the SUV universe and precious little like it in any vehicle category.
Also, Marques is pretty tall. He usually mentions it but I think it warranted a mention that he's 6'3" and he had the driver's seat and the middle seat set for himself. So to be able to seat three people 6'3" in the same column is pretty remarkable.

I canceled my GGT reservation yesterday. Got a confirmation email today from Lucid, which also stated there was no refund. My order was not in production and the contract as well as the website say the deposit is refundable.
I’m sure I’ll get the $1K back, but I’m just surprised that small things like this are still happening after 4 years in operation.
(yes, I’m keeping the GDE reservation)

Was just notified my GGT green, Ojai, HUD, mid size wheel, full spec would go into production October and deliver before Thanksgiving. February order date.
That's exciting! I think this is the first I've heard of a Grand Touring going into production with a HUD. Makes me thing I might get mine this year.

I have seen at least one Ojai delivered

I have been told multiple times that this is not possible, and by multiple people, even on insisting that I had heard others had been able to do so, and on insisting that the reason I had two orders in the first place was because that was how their site was set up for the online "upgrades." From your experience, it must possible, but clearly the systems and processes to do so are not trained or understood very well across the organization.

I am still hoping they refund my GGT deposit. I was told it was too late because I was in production (though nobody called me at pre-VIN time nor at in-production stage) but that they should be able to make an exception - but don't be alarmed by the automated email that would tell me I was too late. Supposedly it will take a few days to process. It hasn't yet.

Folks - my SA said I can upgrade from the regular Dream Drive 2 to the next level up, ie, Dream Drive 2 Premium via a software upgrade and paying that extra amount therefore? Is it true?

Never heard anything about that for Gravity...

When the Dream orders opened and I switched over I was required to go the refund route even after contacting my SA for assistance. However, the refund was processed quickly.

First time I hear that but as long as the hardware is present it’s certainly possible…

Anyone have Sina as their advisor? Are they pretty responsive to changes in status?

They moved it for me as well. I just called my SA.

I do. He is VERY responsive to emails -- I've exchanged ~5 with him already today -- but he has not been especially proactive in terms of his contacting me about updates without an email prompt from me. But like I said, I usually get an email back from him in ~ 5 minutes or less.

The fact that "Hands On" drive assist is available in regular Dream Drive 2 makes it seem like all the hardware is in fact in place in all Gravity's to do software updates. However, I wouldn't trust what an SA says verbatim so I would be cross checking and asking for it in writing before believing it. This is the first I've heard of it being possible.

Got a call this morning for a cancelled GDE with Yosemite interior and 20s wheels. It’s available if anyone wants to snatch it. It wasn’t delivery ready but was VIN ready. I’m guessing delivery will be 4-5 weeks.

I’m still waiting for my Tahoe interior GDE.

I have a white interior Model X now so I'm not opposed to it, but it sounds like the experience from other threads here is whether it'll be as durable as the leather trims.

Annoyed that I'm not getting any calls or emails from my SA, though; they claim they have absolutely no visibility into any DE order statuses so I'm sitting in the dark.

I have a newborn and three small dogs so it’s a hard no for white seats.

SAs can see cancelled and unallocated VINs.

I’ve been told it’s the Sales Managers that have more visibility of the order statuses.

SAs can not see VIN or inventory for GDEs. This is what I was told by two SAs. Somehow, GDEs were/are kept separately.

If you have a GDE on order, you’re probably someone they’ll reach out to if they have an inventory GDE.
