Gravity Bugs / Issues

They did have both the Fob and card. They checked at the beginning of each drive to be certain we could shift to drive. I had the impression they were having frequent problems and the card was seeing them through.
Unless the SA had a Faraday pouch or some other way of verifying the card was actually being read,, the fob signal was allowing the car to be driven.

They probably had already verified the functioning of the cards prior to the start of test drives and had them along as backup.

It may well have been a belt & suspenders situation, but they were very particular about where to place the card. And I believe at the start of one of the drives we got the "key not detected" message and they fiddled with the card key to correct it.

I think hmp10's tales of woe have firmly shifted me from being jealous of those who've gotten a Gravity delivered, to thankful that I don't have to explain to my wife why I paid more than $100K for a vehicle with this many problems. I still want one, but I'm keeping my GGT+HUD order, and hoping that things seem in better shape months from now when they start building my order. I feel like there's at least 3 more software releases needed before the glitch rate might reach a more acceptable level.
Probably a solid plan. I have stopped itemizing the issues I'm having with my Gravity DE. I will say though that the car drives nice when it allows me to drive it. My Tesla and Rivian had zero problems relative to what I'm experiencing. Don't let anyone tell you it's just teething and that all new cars experience issues. I have almost 2,500 miles on my Gravity and I'm starting to get comfortable with the car's idiosyncrasies. I will take stock after 6 months of ownership and see where my punch list stands.

My early R1S had little/no issues, but I’d gladly take the GGT I have today over that R1S. For all its oddities, it’s so amazing to drive. Seriously.

The jury is still out for me. I still have my R1T and I cannot say at this time that the Gravity exceeds my expectations. Which it should, significantly, given the cost differences.

It really depends on use case. I rarely drove my R1S off road and, to me, that’s the only spec where it outshines my Gravity.

My R1S has a crazy rough ride (which I expected because it’s a truck, but don’t need to accept since I don’t off road) and the UI is slower than my original Palm pilot. Seriously. But - this is why they thankfully make many, many EVs now. Some companies thrive, many have gone out of business. Jury is certainly still out on Rivian and Lucid.

If it was just me, I'd probably be trying to get a Gravity in my driveway ASAP. I'm an engineer, work in the tech industry, and feel like I can cope with the teething problems of the software. And I like to drive, and the driving experience would likely make it all feel worthwhile to me. But we're a one car household, and my wife will have a different attitude about it. Particularly anything around the car not unlocking or going into drive.

This is one of the funnier in-vehicle nav charging issues yet; this site had V3 posts with magic dock, which could possibly be the confusion. Plug-and-charge worked (with NACS, not adapter) but I had to select the post number in the app to start charging. It also pronounced that as "North Y City". 🤣

Here's more units confusion. To be clear, all our profiles are set for Imperial units. The mixed units on the range advisor is *chef's kiss*:

For those with HUD concerns, here's the worst-case view from the front passenger seat, in bright, direct sunlight at the correct angle. From the driver seat there is rarely if ever glare:

Finally, if you've read this far -- I've noticed that the second-row display sometimes blanks out for a second or less. I thought I was imagining it at first, but it definitely happens, Has anyone else observed this behavior?

I noticed the cm on the height measurement screen this morning. So far, that’s the only place I’ve noticed a units issue.

I think I’ve noticed the second row screen issue but thought it had to do with where my dog was sitting, then not sitting.

Yes, this was noticed on my recent road trip.

The third row AC only goes on if the seats sense someone, right? Trying to think about our dog when third row is down. Third row isn’t an option manually from pilot panel like the “rear” is…

correct. I would think that the 2nd row AC is sufficient for the 3rd row while blowing around the car. Though, I have not tested the 3rd row AC if the seats are stowed...

I believe the massage function is programmed to turn off after (maybe) 20 minutes, as it is in the Air. However, @borski has reported that it does not turn itself off in his Air, and it sometimes doesn't in ours. We haven't tried the massage function in the Gravity for long enough to know.
I have the same issue. but to me, the massage rollers were still on. if car is not moving, I can hear the rollers twirling inside, and the graphics in the pilot screen shows it's ON, and once in a while, I can feel a slight protrusion from one of the rollers (usually on my left lumbar), so it's on and running, just no longer actually massage. Sounds like a software bug that can be fixed. I have it running/working for as long as 45mins to an hour during some drives. Sometimes it stops shorter.

I think 3.2.2 fixed the unlocking/can’t drive issue for most people, the lingering issue is that the keycard itself may not be recognized in a few cars due to some issue with the center console. I too am glad my car isn’t delivered yet as I have to be able to respond to work emergencies quickly when on call and if I can’t get my car out of the driveway and my wife’s car is in front of mine (our driveway is only one car wide cuz 1940s New England house) it would be a major problem. I seriously doubt entry or not being able to drive will be an issue by the time I get my car though as it still has yet to go into production.

Does anyone NOT have this? I assume that they're running their own NTP server and its fast -- or, as I suggested before, someone at Lucid is always late for meetings and made this global across all the Gravity. 🤣
I have an iPhone and my clock on the gravity is one minutes faster than my iPhone. Both are auto set.

Tech Support texted me to re-attempt the 3.2.2 update from inside the car instead of using the mobile app. I had to remind them to re-push it out to me and once they did it updated quickly when launched from inside the car. It appears to have suppressed many of the random warnings I was seeing on the left-hand panel of the main display. Not sure if it addressed anything else yet. I continue to operate my Gravity with the fob (in my pocket) only by suppressing the Auto Lock/Unlock feature and pressing on the door handles to lock/unlock. This continues to be my 100% solution since the fob and key cards don't appear to function with enough consistency to be relied upon. I have not attempted to setup my iPhone with digital key.
