Mine said that so I closed the app (swipe up on an iPhone) and when it rebooted, it was gone.

I have been using Hand Free Drive Assist since I got the update on my long stretches of 40 miles each way to work. So far, it handled like a champ so much so that it didn't freak out when someone change lane closely. It almost felt like it's monitoring the surrounding cars/speed to make a decision if it should slow down or not.

The update is horrible! It ruined my car's self driving. I love that I don't have to jiggle the wheel every 20 seconds, but the trade off makes it completely useless! Now, every 20 seconds it beeps and says 'pay attention', and every 2 minutes it beeps louder and says "TAKE CONTROL'. It does this even as I'm staring at the road. God forbid I glance to the side. Please, please, please update the sensitivity of detecting the face. Maybe a little more leeway. I'm struggling badly to find the exact position it wants my head to be in. Please fix this!!!
Lower your steering wheel.

After the update, I get different battery health number than before that:

# date time VIN battery-health(%) odometer(mi) battery-capacity(kWh)
2025-08-05 08:30:03 50EA1TEA8SABCDEFG 98.20 3135.69 92.03

Anyone experiencing this?

With prior versions of Drive Assist, my 2025 AGT will often hesitate / slow down suddenly under two conditions:

1. Driving towards and overpass, that casts a shadow on the road, on the side I’m approaching.

2. When there’s a car or truck to my right, that I’m approaching; and the sun is casting a shadow into my lane.

With Hands Free Drive Assist, these problems don’t occur. The experience is much smoother. They still occur with Drive Assist. It’s as if the car is running different image recognition software under the same 2.8.0 software.
@The_Don @DeaneG — do your “likes” indicate you have experienced the same?

This number is an estimate that will go up and down.

The 2.8.0 update apparently did not complete. The car says it’s still on 2.7.1, but my mobile app is hosed and unusable and I cannot open the frunk from inside the car? Feeling frustrated because it seems the only alternative is to spend hours online waiting for help? Any brilliant ideas? I hoped to see another update advertised that would fix these issues.

Just tried hands-free driving and I'm completely blown away by how great it is.

I've had the car for 2 and 1/2 years now and with hands-free, auto lane change, stereo improvements, and Android Auto all being released I now feel like the car is complete!

With all the complaining expressions of discontent that one sees in this forum, it is nice to see a wealth of compliments on Lucid's latest improvements to their cars/minivans.

Ha! Is your own expression of discontent complaining embedded therein? Minivans? :-)

Have been using it mainly on my commute on the 101 but usually where there's a lot of traffic. Everything is smooth and works well as intended, thanks Lucid team! Makes my commute so much easier, now I just sit in one lane a talk to chatGPT on my commute. One time I couldn't engage hands free driving only highway assist was available, but it behaved like adaptive cruise and wouldn't lane center the car nor follow the lane. Not sure what caused it but next day everything went back to normal.

One gripe is that in traffic the car doesn't have to accelerate so hard when the car in front decides to accelerate hard only to have to make a hard stop a few seconds later. The other is also at low speeds when another car tries to merge into my lane the sensors pick up the merge a little late so the Lucid can get quite close to the rear of the merging car.

How does lane change assist work with HFDA ? It doesnt seem to work for me when HDFA is enabled and I have to manually move it over to the intended lane. Wondering if anyone else faces the same issue.

Working fine for me. Works the same way. Make sure it didn’t get turned off by the update.

Thanks. Novice question - how do I check if its turned off or how do I turn it on again ?

Check your car's settings menu.
