Home Assistant Automations

We split time between two houses, and as you can imagine I have a ton of remote stuff going on when we are away from one of the home. This....sounds like I need to check out. Geez, first you get me to buy a $120k car now you want to make me a programmer as well. 😵‍💫
Oh, boy, you have no idea. You're about to be in love with me. :)

Seems that HA update 2025.5 broke the Lucid integration. Hopefully it will be back soon.

So just buy Home Assistant Green and I'm off and running? How hard is it to integrate all my Apple HomeKit stuff?

Yup. Integrating HomeKit stuff is confusing but easy once you understand it. The confusion is because you can go both ways - you can share all your Home Assistant things with HomeKit, and you can share all of your HomeKit things with Home Assistant. The documentation isn't (to me at least) super clear about which button does what.

It's become much easier for newbies to deal with complex stuff using ChatGPT. It will write the YAML for you and then you can just copy it and add your device ids etc where they're needed

Released version 1.1.1 just now, let me know how I broke everything for you 🙂
