Lucid Gravity in the wild

Yeah the Polestar has such a cool software interface but disappointing range and the space inside the Gravity really shames it and the rest of the competition. I’m curious to see a 5 seat Gravity option, even though the 7 seater is great. The Gravity at Natick couldn’t be touched so I couldn’t see the functionality of the UI but the UI looked very elegant at least.
Same here - a 5-seater is plenty for us, and I'd prefer to avoid hauling around extra bulk, hence my consideration of Polestar 3 and Macan EVs.

(It was sarcasm, I'm fairly certain)
Yes.

For those who haven't really thought about the gas fill location, it comes down to priorities. Companies that prioritize convenience put it on the driver's side. Companies that prioritize safety put it on the side away from traffic if you have to add gas at the side of a busy highway. Are there fundamental arguments for one location or another for charge ports? The same reasoning applies, as eventually AAA roadside assistance will probably carry big batteries that can give a stranded car a couple of kWh at the side of the road. As for front or rear: conventional cars put it far from the engine, to avoid accidental fires or explosions. But in an EV? Do you pull forward into a charge station, or back in?

My Preference is to Back In. You Can See the Area is Clear Before Backing In. Do You Walk Behind Your Vehicle Before Backing Up?

I’ve heard this a lot, but I don’t believe it. I cannot imagine the reason is anything other than “packaging is easier if the fuel filler tube is on this side,” and that anything else was an ex post facto justification.

And once a car is designed for use in Japan or England they are not going to swap the gasoline fill for countries that drive on the right side of the road. It's mostly chance with some but not much planning.

I've always thought it was regional.

Every German car I've ever owned or seen has it on the passenger side.

Most Asian manufacturers put it on the driver's side.

American companies mostly put it on the driver's side, too. With exceptions.
