Lucid Gravity in the wild

Nice! Did anyone get a sneak peek at the rate at which the vehicle was charging?
Tesla superchargers don't have any screen to show anything do they? Maybe only looking at the instrumental screen of the car if it would be possible to see numbers there from outside.

I asked the person who posted this on Facebook, and I believe the claim was that he observed this directly. Below was his response. I will let experts translate what this means. Not sure if they really observed or shared a guess.

Btw, all these photos I am posting are not mine. I am finding them on X and putting them here. I have no information beyond that.

I am going to point out that the back of the Gravity is similar enough to a Pacifica that when I first saw it that my gut level reaction was “it looks like a minivan”. My wife had an even better response “Lucid is making a minvan?!?!” (said excitedly). The front definitely doesn’t look like one, but I really hope that back doesn’t trigger the ever prevalent “ew a minivan!” reaction from others.

Here are a couple of pictures of the back of a Pacifica for comparison.

@Joe can you say what city you saw that in? And thank you for the pictures!
I'm not seeing it.

I've never considered myself a minivan person. Evokes images of soccer moms and kids piling out. 😀 The sliding rear door is the feature I think of with a minivan. If Gravity had that, I'd possibly reconsider.

The rear hatch look of a Pacifica on the Gravity is ok with me because it means easy loading of outdoor gear; especially bikes. That rear hatch sometimes has a Cayenne/Macan look to me.

The low profile and bullet train frontal area set it apart from anything else on the road.

I'm a married empty nester, but even if I was a single guy, I'd get the Gravity because it matches my lifestyle. It's outdoorsy, but not too much (like the R1S) and yet also stylish just enough; not over the top lux look like an Escalade.

I want my MTV ... I mean Gravity!

Because I haven’t figured out how to do a laughing underneath a post and I recognized the slogan:
🤣

😉

Really not a flattering picture. If you've seen Gravity in person, you know it looks a lot better than that.

I got to see the Gravity at the Natick studio by sheer coincidence when dropping my car off for service today. It actually has a smaller footprint than these beast SUVs like Land Rover and R1S, and yet more space. It’s really good looking and distinctive following Lucid’s design language, it’s the only SUV I’ve seen I would say is good looking, not even remotely like a Minivan, not sure where that comparison came from. It looks way better than the bulbous Macan EV also. I’m a person who doesn’t even like SUVs but if I decide to get one in the future the Gravity would be the only one on my list. The interior is really spacious and pleasant too. The exterior is not bulky, it has a more Jaguar-like stance and they even cleverly changed the cantrail line to enhance the negative space of the glass roof so it looks lower than it is. It’s kind of a lesson in artful vehicle design, very harmonious lines throughout. I very much liked it.

I'm hoping to see a finished Gravity at the Millbrae or Valley Fair studios this year.
So far my cross-shopping alternatives have drawbacks:

Porsche Macan EV highway range is <275 miles, and nav uses Google Maps but proprietary and sub-optimal nav routing, so I'd have to use Android Auto kludge, no better than Gravity. At least it's shorter in length. Exterior is dated but interior is very nice. Has rear-wheel steering, and charges quickly with an aggressive curve on 800V CCS stations. Air suspension and HUD.

Polestar 3 highway range is <250 miles, but has native Google apps, a big plus for me, so no need for Android Auto. Sleek and athletic exterior, clean if somewhat spartan Scandinavian interior. Slightly shorter than Gravity, but no rear-wheel steering. 250kW peak/declining charging with access on most existing 400V Superchargers. Air suspension and HUD.

Yeah the Polestar has such a cool software interface but disappointing range and the space inside the Gravity really shames it and the rest of the competition. I’m curious to see a 5 seat Gravity option, even though the 7 seater is great. The Gravity at Natick couldn’t be touched so I couldn’t see the functionality of the UI but the UI looked very elegant at least.
