Clearly you don’t have a large dog. If my dogs are in the car the chime goes off constantly. Drives me nuts.

Now this is a different problem that I will agree with. The rear seat presence detection is too sensitive. I had someone sitting back there buckled in, but the chime kept going off because he would lean over into the center a little bit to talk. It thought there was someone sitting in the middle seat.
Nope, but I have kids who I make sure are buckled in before I even push the brake pedal
The chime in my '98 Porsche goes off in park and it's at least twice as loud and annoying as the Air's.

But either way, just buckle the seatbelt. Or get these or simiilar. Measure to make they work, but otherwise you can solve your own problem.

That's awful, but doesn't excuse the Air- a '98 Porsche is 26 years old and just "is what it is". The Air can have an update pushed to modify it literally whenever. There's no need for the chime to go off while the car is in Park, and it definitely doesn't need to be that loud.
If it was something small and petty I wouldn't have bothered posting about it- e.g. the wireless phone charger being poorly designed. The volume levels on these are a QOL issue, especially for someone driving babies around regularly.
Simply buckle all seatbelts before you press the brake pedal. It’s not that hard, give it a whirl! You’ve wasted more time complaining about it than that simple solution takes.

Maybe there’s something I’m not understanding. Babies and toddlers require either car seats or boosters, which are already always buckled in. The complaint is due to the seatbelt chime that occurs if other occupants get into the vehicle but have not buckled in before you place your foot on the brake? I believe the best workaround is to ask your other occupants to buckle their seatbelts as soon as they get into the vehicle, which should be a reflex at this point. The seatbelt alert is loud, so is cross traffic alert, and yet my 3 year old has not been awakened by them, but if she did wake up…oh well c’est la vie.
Obviously my intent is to do that in order to avoid it, but it's not something I should have to work around. There's no reason the car should make an incredibly loud noise if you put your foot on the brake while the car is in park. An OTA would easily rectify it and make it something no one has to think about. I'm clearly not the only one with this issue given that this thread exists. I'm glad others don't feel like it's a problem for them, but that doesn't mean it isn't a problem just because you can change your behavior to avoid it.
I agree, the seatbelt warning is far louder than necessary. I’m still not in the habit of avoiding the break pedal while entering the car. My natural instinct is to hit the brake immediately. Perhaps the result of driving a manual shift for a million years.

I have always stepped on the brake as soon as I enter the car and I 100% agree that this is annoying AF, too. And the turn signals are also incredibly loud and annoying. Some people are just more sensitive to sound than others. I get that this is a forum of enthusiasts of the brand, but turning the blind eye to small problems like these is dumb given that this should be a luxury car.
I'm still calling for anyone with this issue to meet up with someone without the issue and confirm that there isn't actually just a difference (bug) between our cars. Happy to do that in the greater D.C. area myself. I'm not convinced you're all being picky, I would not be shocked if you have an issue the rest of us don't. Seriously, I was listening to an audiobook today, not even music, and I couldn't hear my own blinker sound at all over that + the quiet sounds of driving at 45mph on pavement.
I'd definitely try that. I'm in Chandler, AZ though. I could always go to the Lucid Service and Delivery center to compare if I find myself in Scottsdale.

I think there’d likely be some things about a Rolls Royce that would annoy the crap out of me also. My prior Mercedes a “so-called” “luxury” car had things that were obnoxious. I do agree that the seatbelt alert is a bit too abrasive, and the turn signal clickers are a bit too quiet. Maybe those things can be addressed as they are imperfect, but are they really THAT egregious? I just never found myself thinking when I heard the loud seatbelt alert or the quiet blinker that “boy, I really should have a better alert and blinker experience right now given how much money I paid”.
Remember when many of us (myself included) complained how the signal was too loud? It has gone the other way now and you can barely hear it. Personally, I am happy with that change. And the seatbelt warning is quieter and much less annoying than it used to be, so perhaps we just don't see it as annoying because it used to be very annoying.
That said, it seems on par with our other EVs in terms of volume.
