So if you found a rat in your car, would you just leave it there? 🤣
When I lived in New York, I was the weirdo who would go "awwww, so cute" whenever I saw a rat at a subway station. Most other people would shriek and run.

That was definitely a little mouse, not a rat. I’m from nyc; I know rats. lol
Being fro new jersey, mouses and rats are basically the same thing for us, because you NEVER see them round here!

Seeing how much rats were on the subways, I assume that happened thrice a week?

Recently enacted draconian legislation imposes severe penalties to drivers who forget to renew their license. Don't let this happen to you!

How did this thread start as something about age and turn into something about dead animals???? I'm really not a fan of dead animals.

Beats talking about age.

Sure, but to be fair, let's not post any more photos of dead mice. It's not necessary and the point has been made, so no harm in not posting any additional pics.

You can tell them apart because mice are more tender.

Okay. live mice it is.

Okay. live mice it is.
So my conclusion is that I need to drive the car more often. I typically take it out a couple of times a week but if I take it out more frequently, then the car is less hospitable for them.

Presently, the car is being serviced. They found a nest. The cost to demousify it is going to cost upwards of $1,000.

This past Winter, I moved my John Deere lawn tractor about every other day to avoid mice chewing up the wiring harness like they did last year. When I had it serviced last week for an annual tune-up, no evidence of mice was found.

So where was the nest? Hidden amongst the electronics in the front?

If you live in an area prone to mice, I think you have to. My sister didn't have problems with her Bolt until she started working from home and driving once or twice a week instead of every day. Then she had to replace the wire harness twice, a few thousand dollars each time.
