Already on the tracker. Placed deposit September 9, 2020. Confirmed March 24, 2022. VIN issued August 17, 2022. Picked up at Goose Island September 29,2022. Quantum Grey with Tahoe interior. Road trip 332 miles home to Louisville,KY. Flawless operation so far.
 
One thing I hadn't counted on (probably already mentioned on here, but I'm not into social media.)
We told our delivery advisor that we planned to fly up to Chicago and spend a nice night out on the town before picking up the car the next morning. Lucid got our airline tickets, arranged all ground transportation, and put us up in a Lake View room at The Drake. Wow!

Yes I did not have to go to short hills; it came to me from Chicago. I am told that's where they go for final inspection. Home delivery is awesome.

The car is stunning.

All those who waited for Cosmos Silver .... it goes to eleven !



One lap around the block then into the garage. Car would not turn off. Is flashing and blinking and buzzing and clicking and door wings flappin' ... I sat in the dark garage for hours last night watching the birth pangs of a major update.

I’m getting excited! Originally scheduled to pick up my GT red/santa cruz at 1400 hrs local time today, but my SA called again and said that my car needs a little more time for some “loving attention” before being handed over to me. Pick up time has been delayed to 1700 hrs local time.

Burning a copy now of @SaratogaLefty’s Delivery Inspection Checklist.

Will update details for tracker in several hours from now, once the car is mine.
 
So I got a call last night and follow up text this morning - my car is at Millbrae and ready to be picked up today! Yay!

As I'm pulling into the lot at Millbrae Lucid, I get a call - car is not ready!

I go into the showroom anyway to find out what's up. They're all very nice and trying to find out what's going on.

While I'm waiting a nice gentleman walks over, we shake hands. Says his name is Peter. Has a Welsh accent. Seems to have some amount of authority here. I tell him my woes and he says he'll look into it.

Turns out my car hasn't arrived and probably won't be in until tonight or tomorrow morning. They hope I can get it on Sunday. I have a PPF appointment for Monday morning, so I hope they are right. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Nice to meet Peter (and his two dogs).

I was told mine would be at Millbrae on Wednesday, had PPF appointment on Thursday based on that info.
Later received a call, pick it up on Friday. A day later "sorry it did not get on the truck" I'm going to be out of town next week so I won't see my car until I get back, if it ever gets on some truck. So, when you are in Millbrae check and see if a Silver one appears.:(

Amazing service! wonder what happens in this scenario if the car has problems when the new owner goes thru the acceptance checklist, assuming the fix(es) take a day or more to complete?
 
Apparently, it is not official that one has received his car until photo(s) is/are posted. So here are mine. My favorite one, and view I have yet to see on this forum, is the last one. LOL. However, it really shows how large the truck really is because this is a full size pallet that I took to the local pallet manufacter to recycle. Go Lucid!

The Delivery checklist that @SM_NCarolina put together the other day was perfect.

The overall experience was fantastic. Car had only 15miles on it.
The car looks amazing and drives absolutely beautifully. Had a very comfortable 1hr+ drive back home from the delivery center.
They're cranking out deliveries as fast as they can until Saturday to bump those Q3 numbers.

Thanks to the delivery checklist, we found a couple of issues with the car. The right wing mirror's light wouldn't come on. This was fixed before we drove off the lot.
Second, the left rear door's top trim was not aligned properly with the front door. The tech tried to align it but wasn't able to get it close to what I'd like. They will look into that.

Other minor things - I never received a Tidal trial email so I don't have Tidal setup. I was told I had to set something up with Electrify America. Someone else later told me I don't have to do anything (I see the charging plan on the app now).

For the MANY things this car is phenomenal at, I ran into an insane number of issues. I will make a separate posts about them.

For the tracker. Delivered September 30th 2022. Four months from Confirmation to Delivery.

Handover was done very professionally and thoroughly by SA Mark at Lucid Costa Mesa CA. No flaws at all during the walkaround and interior inspection.

I discovered one flaw but only after I had driven the car away. When tracking straight ahead, the steering wheel is not aligned completely straight (horizontally). In other words the steering wheel boss is cocked ever so slightly to the left when I’m driving and tracking in a straight line. Will call this in to Lucid Service tomorrow.

Not exactly a flaw but a design handicap - the fore and aft adjustment of the steering column is limited. I would wish for greater travel in the steering column.

All in all, an excellent delivery experience, and the car drives like a dream. Really!

Agree about the steering wheel travel. I have long legs and take advantage of the incredible leg room in the drivers seat...but then I have a bit of a stretch for the wheel.
