One quick thing you might want to try...turn the defrost on and then off again. I'm not sure what upgrade version introduced it, but a known bug is where the defroster will be on, but it won't indicate that it's on. It may be my seat position or something else, but when the air is blowing as it should, I can get it to blow on my face and the ac cools things down pretty quickly. As I've said a few times, maybe I'm just lucky and it works better, but definitely give the defrost trick a try.

I'll have to try that. Even at level 10, my AC doesn't seem to blow very hard and definitely can't get it to hit much higher than mid-steering wheel which when the sun is shining through the roof it would be good to have it blow harder and higher into the car.

I have found if you turn on the defrost (and the rear A/C) the car actually cools down much faster, even if it isn't blowing as directly on you.

I agree with you on a lot of things, but here, my experience has definitely not been that. But then again, I've not really tried running the defrost. So maybe when it's erroneously engaged, none of the air coming out is at the flow you need it to be.

Oh yeah, when it’s erroneously engaged it doesn’t cool down as quickly. I think it’s some weird state.

If the metal roof comes out that should stop a lot of the roof heat and thus improve cooling speeds substantially right? At least that’s my hope
