Portable tire inflator

Has anyone had any success with portable 12v digital tire inflators? I absolutely hate trying to find air pumps at gas stations as half of them are broken or there’s a wait, so I thought I’d try to find one. I fell victim to EA/Wal-Mart’s business plan and went into a Wal-Mart while charging and found what seemed to be a decent one, as my cold tire PSI was 47 on front R and 48 on rear R, and wanted to get them back to spec. The hose on the one I bought screws into the tire, and the seal was not very good, and after working on the rear R tire, it failed and deflated the front R tire to 42 PSI and then the device broke completely. I took it right back into Walmart and looked at another model but that one’s connector was too bulky to fit through the range covers. So then I gave up and drove to a crappy gas station air pump irritated that I’d wasted a good 45 minutes of trying out a portable inflator. Anybody know any good ones?

I use an old-fashioned manual bicycle tire pump, which I've owned for almost 20 years. You wouldn't want to use it to pump up a Lucid tire from flat, but for only adding 1-3 pounds it works just fine. I check my tire pressures about twice a month, and rarely need to add more than a pound.

I’ve used this one for multiple cars and works well.

I've only used it once, but it worked well. I also had bought a 12V plug in, but the cord was too short to reach the front tires. I figured for $40 (only $10 more than the corded one), this was worth not dealing with cords. It's also fairly small and fits perfectly in my sub trunk next to my jack kit and tire repair kit.

I have a Bonaire bought at Costco and a JACO from Amazon. Both are good and can be used with 110V and 12 V.
I like the JACO 's screw on tip better because there's less air leaking, as opposed to the press-then-flip-down connector of the Bonaire. But the Bonaire is only about $40-50.

The Lucid mobile van that came out yesterday to my house used a Milwaukee M12 to help pump up the tire pressure. Lightweight about 3 and 1/2 pounds and $112 from Amazon. The Lucid service guy says he uses it all the time. Will be ordering one soon.

Sweet! I’m such a dumbass I didn’t know the tire repair kit that came with the car also inflates the tires, so I’ll just use that. They must have given it to me by accident or maybe threw it in because they didn’t clean my car before delivery, cuz I thought the tire repair kit only came with earlier Dream Editions.

Nope - tire repair kit didn’t exist with earlier dream editions. I was #241 and waited many months before a tire sealant kit existed.

I think only cars that were in states which required the inflator or spare had them included? I had to buy mine when it was finally available.

Does the tire repair kit have a chargeable it replaceable battery (I haven't looked at the kit itself). If not, you may not want to use it as your regular inflator because you'll need it to inflate your tire if you ever get a flat and need to use the kit in the road.
