  • Another week long shutdown is coming this month or next.
  • Lucid employees forming a union, delays to ensue.
  • Upper Management believes only 5k cars to be delivered this year.
  • Companywide walkout scheduled for May 31st.
Interesting...what's the source on this?

I don't believe it one bit.

Please state a source.

He actually showed the source in the post about "Factory Rumors". It comes from an alleged employee.

There is a person with that name on Facebook and he states that he is an employee of Lucid ("Sealer" as it says above) and the Facebook account is not new.

Here it is:

Person claiming to be a line worker at AMP-1 on Reddit. Their Reddit account was created today, May 11, and has the form of a real name. If someone by that name actually works there, I would imagine management will be talking to them soon...
I would urge caution on making a conclusion based on one account of an obviously unhappy or disgruntled employeee. Sure, it could be accurate but in most instances there is more to the story.

The Facebook profile page I found meeting this description says the account was created in 2011.

Anyway, rumors and such frequently grow out of control in organizations.

Having been in management at a start-up airline (decades ago) and watching this sort of thing, it always infuriates me that people take a job knowing good and well what the job is and how much it pays only to decide (with help from their peers) that they want to force the Company to give them more than they agreed to. The internet has made it too easy to be anonymous.

Ok, now I believe it. Thanks for the info.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see some actual information that isn't just rumors. Too many people who want to short the stock.

The user who posted this claims to have done so because "someone else posted an update," but that "someone else" also posted about the fixture/sealer deck ( ) so I'm not at all certain that this isn't the same person. It wreaks of a shortseller to me.

Even fewer cars today than from two days ago - via Bears.

Thanks for the update, let us know once it safely arrives and I’ll updated the OL’ spreadsheet.
Lucid was on schedule to delivery my AGT to our PPF installer on May 12th (vehicle arrived in Chicago on May 2nd), but I decided to cancel my order. Gave up $1000 deposit, but DA was great about cancelling order even after vehicle was shipped to Chicago.

Why did you cancel?

Supposedly a stack of VINs got issued today. In 2 weeks, my expected VIN date slipped 2 weeks. Seems there was some issues with quality that requires some process improvements.

Nice! Looks like quantum gray is up next! I can confirm. My delivery advisor told me today that I may have an update in two weeks. Perhaps it's my VIN? ;)

Well unfortunately I canceled today. Some lucky person will fast track to a zenith soon.

I was literally about to purchase. When the final bill came the total price was nearly $16k over the total they keep telling me which led me to think you know what this whole process has been disappointing. It would be disappointing for a $70k car let alone $156k. My DA was terrible. I get the feeling I was talking to a 24 year old who really haven't learned providing premium service. In feb she gave me my vin and told me to be prepared because it will move fast. She said she would tell me when the car would go into production and give me regular updates until delivery. None of those things happened. I've had to prod her for updates. At this price point she should be proactive rather than reactive. That's built into the car price. When I asked her 10 weeks after my vin why others who ordered the same trim after me were taking delivery and didn't even answered my question. Instead she said oh btw your car is ready. Hmmm just like that after I asked. Was my car problematic, were there production issues? Etc. My gut started to tell me not to fall in love with this car because I suspect something was not quite right. And even after the purchase process started I had to prod them on the purchase order to upload to the lender. So with all that and the software not getting significant updates in recent months I decided I need to be smart about this and walk away. Maybe next year I'll revisit if they improve their product a little more.
