I couldn't even get pings when mine was on 192.168.1.x. It would get an address by DHCP just fine, but wouldn't ping or otherwise communicate. When I ping that ip address, I get successful pings.
Test fails if I ping 192.168.5.1 which, I think makes sense if the router has assigned the charger the dynamic ip address of 192.168.2.164.
Maybe not.

That's the same behavior mine had while my home subnet was 192.168.1.x. It worked properly when I changed my home subnet to 192.168.2.x.
I repeated this experiment when I installed a new home wifi setup from a different vendor, and the result was exactly the same.
Worst case, you can temporarily connect an ethernet cable to the LCHCS for a few hours to let it update its firmware and try again, or ignore the problem and just use it as is.
The temporary ethernet connection is what the Lucid CC person suggested before I was suddenly disconnected. That's the same behavior mine had while my home subnet was 192.168.1.x. It worked properly when I changed my home subnet to 192.168.2.x.

True, but one day that connectivity may be needed.I gave up on connecting it to the WiFi. After multiple attempts it just wouldn’t connect. Until the charger UI does / provides anything useful I’m leaving it in “dumb” mode.
Still charges the car without network connectivity.
I’m waiting for the “until then” moment. I gave it an hour of my time for something that should’ve taken 5 mins and that was enough for me!True, but one day that connectivity may be needed.
Until then, ...
Or at least update the instructions to say "enter https://192.168.5.1" instead of "192.168.5.1.There really needs to be a stop-sell order for this device
I've been at this for about 6 hrs.I’m waiting for the “until then” moment. I gave it an hour of my time for something that should’ve taken 5 mins and that was enough for me!![]()
You’ve got a lot more patience for me.I've been at this for about 6 hrs.![]()
HA!I couldn't even get pings when mine was on 192.168.1.x. It would get an address by DHCP just fine, but wouldn't ping or otherwise communicate.
Mine doesn't support secure connections at all. you should either skip the protocol designation, or specifically use http:// (note the lack of an 's').Or at least update the instructions to say "enter https://192.168.5.1" instead of "192.168.5.1.
I possibly would have tried adding the http or https, but the forum saved me time.
I concur, the setup is not kind. The fact that there's no secure connection support isn't a biggie for me, but the fact that it only support 2.4Ghz WIFIis critical to know ahead of time. I have the whole thing working and have spent some time accessing the interface with the browser development mode (F12) enabled showing all the network interactions. There's a lot of asynchronous operations taking place, allowing the initial page (minus any useful data) to draw quickly...then as various background calls get answered, more and more data starts coming in.I've spent at least 6-8 hours struggling with mine. One of the most frustrating things I've ever bought even ignoring the lack of V2H. It's a real piece of work.
that is a surefire way for the connection to be refused, I am all but positive that it's not listening on port 443...only port 80.Are you making sure to put https:// in front of it?
You're right.Mine doesn't support secure connections at all. you should either skip the protocol designation, or specifically use http:// (note the lack of an 's').
I'm on the Diagnostic screen telling it to ping the router, working like a champ.
The entire interface is pretty much useless, though. Lots of work to get it going, no tangible benefit other than checking for firmware upgrades...but by and large, I'm treating it like a black box especially since charging speed is going to be controlled via the car in 2.8.0 in any case.
Thanks, I did get it connected and have seen the screens. I've actually turned my LCHCS off. I'm using another EVSE that integrates with my PV system.... If you wanna see what any of the screens look like, just let me know.
I hate when things don't work.I've spent at least 6-8 hours struggling with mine. One of the most frustrating things I've ever bought even ignoring the lack of V2H. It's a real piece of work.
