I think I'll post here the answer to a question I got via DM about whether I'm willing to proceed with the purchase of our second Gravity DE in light of this thread. Here goes:
Except for the 15-mile trip from our house to the PPF installer, we still haven't driven the Gravity yet, and we're probably still close to a week away as the PPF installer is delivering it to the radar/laser installer. It's kind of frustrating.
I've been disappointed as I watch the list of reported bugs growing longer and longer on this forum. It's actually starting to look like the list we lived through with our early-production Air for its first 10 months until UX 2.0 finally starting to slay the gremlins. That said, the Air is now virtually problem-free and after almost four years is still an absolute blast to drive and is holding up beautifully.
I'm pretty sure Lucid is all over the case, though. I was surprised to get a call today from Customer Care asking if I had gotten the email about coming fixes for some of the key fob and creature mode issues. I had, and they wanted to know if there was anything else concerning me and if I wanted help with anything. I told them we were not yet using the car, but we'd probably be in touch with them soon after we do.
If this Gravity were my first Lucid, I probably would have canceled the second order by now. But I've been to this rodeo before and, although I'm disappointed to be standing in line for it again, I'm confident Lucid will work out these issues and leave us with a couple more stellar cars we'll enjoy for a long while as we are doing with our Air Dream Edition (which we're keeping, by the way, making us a 3-Lucid household).
