Things I added to the list today to investigate when I do a service:
- The brake light bar lens cover is not fully secured at the ends where it wraps around the liftgate, so it flexes in and out. Not a functional issue.
- The third row seats can catch the liftgate latch trim and pull it free from under the liftgate seal, which is a pain to get re-installed. Overall the third-row seat mechanism does not feel very robust, but this was the case with the showroom cars and not unique to me.
- One of the plastic covers on the cargo net loop attachments was popped off; it snapped back in place but doesn't feel very secure.

Have all those same issues with mine. Car is scheduled to go in at end of month to cover those, and a few more issues.

Definite progress on the owner communication front which is good to see.

What are your other issues? It would be great to get together a shared checklist of things for current Gravity owners.

My vehicle's time is off by a minute or so. I checked and it's set to update automatically but it persists in being off from my Apple devices. Anyone else seeing this in their Gravity DE?

1. Keyless Entry/Fob Issues
2. Media apps disappearing (loading the generic profile and then switching back to my personal profile will bring the apps back but only temporarily)
3. Media not loading says server busy try again later
4. Phone contacts and call history regularly not loading/synching
5. Sometimes will not go into reverse, when it finally does the cameras stop functioning
6. Headlight warning says to schedule service although I've had no issues driving at night, the headlights appear to work fine
7. Occasional warning that rear-wheel steering is inoperable
8. Time is off with the automatic update enabled
9. Blind spot camera is enabled but drops working mid-drive making it unreliable
10. Sometimes the sideview mirrors do not open, which you don't normally realize until you're already driving and need them. Have to stop, exit vehicle, lock and then unlock to get them to open.
11. No Apple Car Play (one of the reasons I went with a Lucid and not another Rivian)

Other than this, the car is perfect.

Seeing loads of software issues with the Gravity so far! Most of them are just an inconvenience and part of the early ownership experience but wanted to create a thread for issues

Got mine three days ago. Seeing same issues like tho other owners but today i got a new and bad one: car was used for a short drive in the morning, then sat parked for 2 hours after which…..the main screen shows: BRAKE PERFORMANCE REDUCED » (what in the world this notification means??!!). The car does not shift from P, AC dies not work but all others work. Soft reset also not functional. This is verrrry bad!

I'll chime in and say that I appreciate hearing from the people who aren't having problems. As someone who's waiting to be told that a Gravity is available to me, I want to hear the full mix of experiences. I'm nervous about buying a Gravity, because I don't expect my wife to be tolerant of glitches the way I will be. So getting a feel for both the good and bad is helpful.

As for the glitches overall: I seem to recall that there was a recording released of a factory event late last summer, and during it Rawlinson acknowledged that the software engineering was a weak spot at Lucid, that it hadn't received the attention that it should have, and that he would be having the company build that team's strength. Assuming my recollection is correct, a year isn't much time when it comes to addressing a problem like that. You have to hire for somewhat specialized expertise, which takes quarters. Those people need to ramp up and find their footing, which usually takes months, sometimes quarters. Then you need to map out new software engineering projects and implement them, which takes quarters. Building up the software team might well not produce results noticable to customers like us until a year has passed, if not two.

@TahoeMichael For my Air I decided the key fob was the most reliable and fastest way to lock/unlock but disabling the auto/passive unlock saved a lot of pain since the car would unlock if I walked by. It probably saves battery as well because mine last a few months now. But I kept the auto/passive lock and that works when I walk away from the car.

The app is really bad at waking up the car - can take ~2 minutes which is an eternity when the family is with you. So I only use the app to unlock when I can't find the fob. Don't use the app to unlock the car if you are trying to give someone a tour of your car - as they say you can only make a first impression once. Corroborated by others and it hasn't improved in 2 years and looks like we are not seeing an improvement with the Graviy as well.

The wakeup sequence for the fob and app seems to be different. And no we can't blame it on network latency.

Let it sleep overnight and see what it says in the morning.

No. I will definitely try that.....I went to that screen but missed that button somehow.

Drive system error popped up this AM, and i was unable to change gear. Tried soft resetting several times, walking away for a few, etc etc without luck. Now getting it towed to the SC for this and other issues. Currently at a little over 1000 miles.

Other issues, some of which are software-related;
Missing homelink
Driver side window keeps engaging anti-pinch when closing
Inside Trunk plastic trim keeps comes loose when moving rear seat from enclosed position.
2nd row doesn't fold all the way, leaving one side elevated
2nd row doesn't react/fold to button input from trunk
Steering button to disengage autopilot doesn't work. Have to apply brake to disengage.
Steering buttons occassioanlly doesn't work when pushing for music controls
Frunk doesn't open at first push, and appears to want to lift on one side of hood before other side starts to open. 2nd attempt to open frunk works.
Phone as key doesn't work
Error message that rear steering isn't working, and i should contact service center immediately
Trunk trim- brake light on driver side is loose and rattles.
Wireless charger turns off periodically and throws error message every few mins.
Backup cameras occassionally dont show images, just blank screens. Always happens at the most inconvenient time. Haha
Error message at every startup - headlight not working
Left side view mirror doesn't tilt when reversing.

I noticed the same, but it's not enough to bother me (yet), next OTA update will fix I hope.

This video shows a Gravity giving the message "Air Suspension Unavailable". Huh? That's the only suspension the Gravity has.

Maybe it should read "Suspension Adjustment Unavailable"?

If they're telling you to drive below 35mph the warning could apply to the case where the suspension has no air. From personal experience that feels like driving a vehicle with no suspension.

So my wife got into the car, and when her purse is in the passenger seat which is a small light purse, the fasten seatbelt alarm keeps going off, only work around is to buckle the seatbelt. That started happening with the new software update….EXCEPT this is not a Lucid, it’s her Volvo V60 PHEV we just had serviced 2 days ago and the dealer updated it to software version 3.7, which isn’t even listed as available yet on the Volvo site. Software is hard!

If you have a 3D printer, you can fix this. Works great. Especially if you have dogs in the back.
