Gravity [Dream Edition] Reservations Tracker

I got a call last week and it took me a while to realize it was someone from Lucid trying to sell me a Dream Edition Gravity. So yes, they don't seem to have caught fire as yet.
Given it’s the most expensive trim and the present state of the economy, that’s not completely surprising. I wonder how many GTs are on order.

Also, it’s an SUV, and I know a bunch of people that “just don’t need that power in an SUV.”

I got a call also but decided to stick with a GT with the Tech option which includes Heads Up Display. The extra horsepower is not that important to me even though I love that the brand focuses on performance.

They told me that I should expect my GT to go in production late fall.

After seeing in person today and test driving, my husband has persuaded me to do the green + 22/23 wheels. He decided summer tires (for Southern California) and nice looking wheels trumped the range lol. And yes, @borski, the green is better in person (and while the Tahoe color is not better in person, it is better in the Gravity than the Air, imho, likely because the carpets aren't orange). I didn't like the Yosemite in person at all.

I just filled out the form for my GDE order. Sorry for the delay - I had a GT order on day 1 that I asked in GT thread to have moved over but I think the request was overlooked (not that I'm upset about it - I can't imagine how hard it must be to keep track of all this stuff - I'm just explaining why I hadn't recorded this earlier). That said, I still technically have both orders open, so it's probably more appropriate that I put it here separately anyways.

I updated my order on 4/26 to change from green to black. I hope that didn't put me at the back of the queue again, but then again maybe being deeper in the production run would be a good thing.

I'd be curious to know if we can use this thread to update order statuses and possibly identify patterns in the allocation of vehicles. I still think AG is preferred and largest wheels as well and that those will continue to be the first we see off the line. But that's pretty speculative and not based on a large data set. Is it possible to add column with categories like "order confirmed," "VIN Assigned," and "Delivered?" (or add a few if there are perceived other steps? Delivery Date Confirmed?)

Hello!
I'm new to the forum, though I've been reading a while.
I ordered Gravity GT on March 23rd and then upgraded to DE on April 8th. I put the March date in the tracker--I hope that's correct.

I'm switching from a Model X 100D that I've had for 7 years. I've made multiple cross-country trips. My wife and I like taking long drives and enjoy the performance of EVs. We got her a '23 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance. I wasn't thinking about changing cars until a certain CEO started behaving badly.

I decided that if I was going to change, I would want something that could carry at least as much as my X and have good performance and handling. We've taken both the X and MME on twisty mountain roads and cross-country drives. We've had fun on 9burgring in California and rented a Mustang Mach-E from Turo to drive AZ 89 between Prescott and Wickenburg for a test drive before buying my wife's car.

I started looking around and test driving other EVs. I was totally unimpressed with Audi, Cadillac, Jeep. There were not a lot of cars that really felt like a step up from the X in terms of size, looks, appeal. Some, like the BMWs are just ugly. Some are pretentious brands priced for their name instead of the car's capabilities.

Then I stumbled on Lucid. We both were enchanted by the Lucid story--the innovation, the engineering excellence, and the beauty of the Gravity. We haven't been able to drive one yet, but we got to sit in one at the Electric Expo--Phoenix. After taking test drives of the Air, we rented an Air GT for a weekend and drove the twisties between Flagstaff and Wickenburg a couple of times (each of us experiencing the Air's handling and performance).

Having seen Kyle's Out of Spec reviews and others saying the Gravity drives at least as well as the Air, we were hooked.

Now I'm back in the waiting game like before I got my X--hoping it won't be as long.

Welcome! I think there are a bunch of ex-Xers here; we're a year later with a 2019, but otherwise a similar story.
