Gravity Delivery Discussion

so interesting how these are being allocated. i placed GT order on opening day and placed my DE order (I didn't convert it, I just placed a new order) on 3/11. Black, Tahoe, mid-size wheels. Still nothing to speak of on the delivery front.

I'm trying to temper my disappointment at not getting this thing soon by telling myself that the later in the production run, the better a car I am likely to get. But then the longer I end up waiting and the less I get to be "first" I start to wonder if it isn't then more worth it to wait until the financing offers improve..... ugh.
Pretty sure it's the black as from what we can tell the greens are being batched first.

It has definitely crossed my mind that they are having, ahem, supply chain issues with the mid-sized wheels as well. No word on delivery of any of those yet AFAIK.
This is an interesting theory, but we have so little data. The wheels/tires seem like they should be the most minimal aspect of the build ordering -- I assume they get put on after almost everything else is done -- and are more easily stockpiled than a fully painted body or internal upholstery, but who knows!

We all hate you…GT on order since 11/7 8:48am est

Please do post your impressions of the HUD ;-)

And if you run a Dragy, 0-60 and whatever else you got…

Thanks!
I should make a wishlist so you can buy me a Dragy 🤣

Just a reminder, as we saw with @TribbleTrouble, the media are looking for content related to Gravity deliveries.

This isn't a criticism of anyone posting; we definitely want to know. Just know that many are reading, not just forum members with orders.

This is why I’m so careful about speculation. The “media” loves to run with that stuff, and it adds no value.

But I’m definitely not perfect.

I think the mods are flagging articles from Electric-vehicles.com. Works for me.

Just know that outlet is sometimes including Reddit and other forum member names.

Correct. It is a trash site which publishes trash articles, and being right one time out of twelve doesn’t make them a reputable source. We banned them months ago because of this.

And before one of you calls me biased or a fanboi or whatever, if that site decides to change course and publish *actual* well-sourced articles that contain facts, and not baseless rumors, we will happily unban it.

I have absolutely nothing against the site or individual who runs it[0]; I wish them well. We just don’t want tabloid nonsense here, as it confuses owners and doesn’t contribute meaningfully to the conversation.

[0] Okay, it bothers me that their damn domain is misspelled, but I don’t think that counts. 🤣

I think you are right but as others have pointed out, we have very little data to go on. Do we know of any black DEs being built yet?

It's almost like they are publishing speculation in an effort to get Lucid to refute or clarify.

We speculate here all the time. Some could probably teach and course on it, but for a media outlet to take it and publish it sounds like desperate journalism.

Crazy.

I need to tweak my Google feed settings to exclude them.

send the contract over, not gonna put $200 before data. Picking the middle wheels does delay the data and increases the chance I go and get it somewhere else.

Lucid, watch me.

I just heard back from my sales associate. He says the first batch was the green, and the next batch will be black. My car is apparently slated to start production May 20th. Yay!

Based on current discussions, mine should be a relatively early delivery (Green/Stealth/22/23). I've had a VIN for a couple of weeks, although I can't find it anywhere on the web site. Still waiting for more info from my SA. Excited to be driving one in Palm Beach on May 16 (although I'm taking delivery in San Diego)
