Gravity Delivery Discussion

I think the thought in everyone’s head is that they completed or are about to complete all the orders for the most popular DE configs and are now moving down the line to GT.

It wouldn’t be very efficient to custom build these one at a time so they are running batches as similar as they can to speed it up as they are chasing sales numbers as well as most expensive configs.

That thought is not in my head.

We ordered a GDE in Aurora Green / Tahoe / mid-size wheels and a GDE in Black / Yosemite / largest wheels (both 7-seaters). Got a call more than two weeks ago to confirm specs. Both those interior and exterior colors and those wheel sets have already shown up on several production cars in videos and test drives as well as in the drone flyovers of the staging lot at the factory.

Still no VIN on either of our orders.

Well…mid size wheels haven’t been seen as far as I know outside of NYC event and quite possibly same vehicles used in the drifting through dirt videos, and Yosemite is probably de-prioritized vs Tahoe.

Sorry you got stuck towards the less popular end of the queue.

Quite a few of the Gravities in the factory staging lot from the April 26 flyover @Adnillien posted have the Yosemite interior. In fact, there seem to be more Yosemite interiors than Tahoes. There were also several in the exact configuration as one of our orders: Black / Stealth / Yosemite / 22/23" wheels, although not certain they are Dream Editions. (This screen shot only shows a few of the several dozen Gravities that were in that video.)

Plenty of Black / Yosemite combos are coming off the production line.

It is also possible that white is a popular color over seas…

The only wheels that I have NOT seen at the factory are the 20/21 wheels.

But it still means that the factory is putting Yosemite interiors in cars that either have or soon will be shipped.

What this pic confirms for me is Stealth >>> Platinum.

I generally like the Stealth better, too . . . but the Platinum looked pretty great on the Lunar Titanium and the Aurora Green I saw in Miami.

Damn, poor US market…

As long as the PIF continues to give Lucid runway to expand its products, I"ll gladly wait in line behind the Saudis to get a car.

At least we now know that the production line is actually running at decent clip so that our U.S. Dreams won't be the earliest builds.

Probably low GDE numbers reserved for royal family, like the PO Box system…

I've been wondering whether the Saudis are getting any Dreams and, if so, are they counted in the 450 cap on the production run?

I'm also wondering whether the rear motor will boost voltage like the U.S. version, as one of the reasons given for moving the U.S. charge port to the rear was to shorten the cabling run to the step-up transformer.

Mine is a midsized DE and supposedly scheduled to come off the line on Thursday. Maybe?
