8% is the lowest I've gotten so far. Maybe I can breathe a bit easier?
How many miles when they contacted you it needed to be replaced?I read the same article the other day. I can tell you that I had a zero experience that was different. Driving from Raleigh, NC to St. Augustine, FL...the EA near my Mom's place had all chargers out of service and I was at like 12% SOC 20 miles from her house...I found some third party chargers at a gas station off of her exit and I was signing up for whatever account I needed (of course it was pouring rain) I went back into the car to not get poured on and everything went off...literally just like when your phone dies. I plugged it in, it charged (took several hours as it was a 50kWh charger.
Note, about 4 months later I got a call from Lucid saying they were getting 'signals' from my car the the battery needed to be replaced. That's occurred, all good so far.
I do MUCH more rigorous planning for road trips now.

Chronological age isnt that relevant anymore these days. Was just talking in general terms with a colleague in Urology yesterday, and I was surprised at the ages of patients desiring certain interventions. How far past zero till you die?
At my age, this subject line gave me quite a fright. It almost caused me to toss my countdown calendar for the arrival of the Gravity before I read the thread.

@SaratogaLefty ~8,500 milesHow many miles when they contacted you it needed to be replaced?
@Bus Driver came back a couple of weeks ago from a road trip to Charlottesville, VA - coasted into the garage comfortably at 9% and plugged into my Lucid home charger that delivers the full 18kWh.Have you since allowed your new battery to fall lower than 12%?
8% recently for me.@Bus Driver came back a couple of weeks ago from a road trip to Charlottesville, VA - coasted into the garage comfortably at 9% and plugged into my Lucid home charger that delivers the full 18kWh.
This is almost certainly coincidence. Some of the more recent software updates include additional instrumentation so that HQ can proactively look for battery faults *before* they leave you stranded on the road. You may recall all the talk of “12v battery faults” in 2021/2022 which had nothing to do with the 12v battery and were in fact the HV battery dying? It’s those faults, and others, that Lucid is proactively looking for now.Note, about 4 months later I got a call from Lucid saying they were getting 'signals' from my car the the battery needed to be replaced. Don't count on it! The car's indication of battery SOC is only an estimate, as it is in all EVs, not quite a fact.I made it to 1%, 1 mile remaining, power decreased, and AC cut off. Not ideal at all but I made it to an EA! Good to see that Motortrend article (though I think I've read it previously as well) about getting additional miles past zero, though obviously I hope to never, ever do that.

Haha not 21 but had a few people in my car for a sporting event and spent far too much energy cooling down the car on a 100 degree day. That threw my calculations way off.I hear you brother. Reading @borski's post is a clear indication he's just a kid.
Then I got to @codys21... assume he's 21 and still thinks he's invincible.
When I was hang gliding the wuffos ( what is that for? what is this for?) once asked me, "Did you ever die doing that?" Seriously.
I answered, "Many times."
Got to 8% once. Fastest EA 350 initial rate I've ever seen...332 kW. I love skipping chargers on a long trip. This car is fantastic.
100% to 0% and I'd have to stop to pee 6 or 7 times.

Went to the Canyon first time a year ago. Gobsmacked. Will go back ASAP. Did the float below Lake Powell to Lees ferry. BoughtOne thing I do know... It may take me a minute or two longer to get in/out of my Lucid, but once I'm in... I feel like a kid again! I'm seventy-five, and planning trip number 14 to the bottom of the Grand Canyon... just as soon as my granddaughters are old enough. Guess what we'll drive there? (To the south rim... Not to the bottom... I might need a Gravity for that!)
