Are the 2025 builds getting better?

I'm strongly considering a Touring, but having trouble pulling the trigger. It seems like everyone here has had issues at one point or another because of the company's growing pains. Seems like everyone, even the satisfied customers, have had .a loaner at some point. It didn't help that my test drive car had a creaking wheel, which led me to find this forum and then I see all these other issues with the car.

I know this is a small and biased sample and I tell myself that these are earlier builds and the 25s probably have the kinks worked out. But I have a hard time paying almost 100k for a car that might be more work for me. I'm busy enough as it is.

So anyone with a 2025 build? Have the little problems been fixed? Is the car more reliable now?

I don't have a '25, but I would like to make a quick comment: my 2022 had a few minor growing pains with trim, etc. As far as reliability goes, the car has been rock solid for 30k miles.

I've had a 2024 Pure for 2 months, 1500 miles, and had no issues that'd make be wish I chose a different car. At this rate, I will most likely buyout the lease at end.

I think everyone's tolerance and expectations is different so replies will vary. Cars I went through are Honda, Toyota, BMW, Tesla, and finally Lucid. If I were to start being picky, I'd have handful of complaints and a few pages of wish list. My career been Technology and Security, so I understand and can manage the software.

I’ve had my AT for about 5 months. My only issue was with the footwell speaker tape coming loose (a known issue) which was immediately fixed by the SC. I’ve been loving the car thus far!

I have had a 2024 Pure since July and have only had minor issues—like update-related issues, which got fixed. Mobile service came to my home to address these concerns. I didn’t require a loaner, but I'm super happy that they provide one if needed. I absolutely love the car, but my only complaint is that my wife rarely lets me drive it. It is her car now. I don’t think you should be overly concerned about the issues reported here. Most have had no show-stopper issues.

This is the best car I have ever driven.

Mine is a 2023 model, had a few trim issues. But Lucid customer service is exemplary. They will address any issue. They even fixed a wrinkle in my rear seat leather. They updated the steering wheel design to reduce creaking. I'm sure 2025 will have much better build quality and most trim issues should be fixed.

The car is too good to drive, don't let a trim issue deny you the pleasure of driving the best sport sedan ever made!

Check this out, from a very reputable British auto journalist.

I have owned my GT for 26 months and have had only very minor issues ; a faulty back speaker, some creaks and rattles and one very minor trim issue. The car has generally been solid for me. While I do think a fair number of owners have had minor issues, most of us are quite happy with our decision. My software issues have been virtually nonexistent , so it often comes as a surprise to me when I read about people’s frustrations with the software. Software started out pretty rough on very early builds, but tremendous progress has been made. As others have said, the car is such a joy to drive. Focus on the engineering prowess of the Lucid and do not worry too much about build issues. Lucid service is fantastic and most problems are easily rectified. Pull that trigger !!!!!😉😉😉😉

I have a ‘22 Grand Touring. I had the navigation module ( I forget the tech term) fail early on and drivers door latch and a few panels needed adjusting. Really insignificant considering this was the first vehicle from a new company. I would absolutely have done it all over again.

I took delivery of my 2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD in June 2023. With the exception of a few hardware (inverter replaced) and software issues (requiring a hard reset), the car is rock solid. I currently have a service appointment for noise in suspension system and a frequency distortion in the rear speaker which invariably will be inspected and corrected under warranty. I only required a loaner car once. Lucid CusterService has been the best ever. The car, the company, its people are way ahead of the competition.

That's good to hear. Seems like everyone has minor issues, but that's common with most cars. I've just been lucky and have never had build issues with any car I've ever had.

It's good to hear the customer service is great. Although I live near Chicago and on the forums here, it sounds like that region is a little overwhelmed.

I bought my GT in Oct 2022. It had a couple minor trim issues which I waited to have addressed at the one-year service as they weren't worth a one hour roundtrip drive to the service center. Just had its second year service a few weeks ago. Other than that, no service visits were needed of any kind. My only real issues have been with the car's navigation software, and I understand these deficiencies well enough now to work around them.

If they works get Android Auto up, that would be a moot point. I can't imagine paying 100k for a car and still using Google maps on my phone (not on car's screen) to navigate. No matter how good navigation is, it'll never be as good as Google maps, so the focus should be getting that to work more than developing their own.

I've driven an Air since December 2021, but I've had a few Air loaners in the ensuing three years. Although it did take some service visits (mostly mobile techs) to get early issues with our Air resolved, it is now a rock solid car and shows virtually no signs of wear and tear. I have detected none of the early issues in the later loaners.

Also, I pore over all the video and press reviews of Lucids, and the reviews of the 2024 and 2025 Airs almost always comment on how well-built and solid the cars feel. There are still occasional gripes about the software, but these days they come down more to user preferences than the earlier complaints about true problems with the software which have been progressively resolved through a very aggressive program of over-the-air updates. In fact, at this point, we prefer the total operating suite (the mix of software and conventional controls) of our Air over our 2021 Tesla Model S.

Had my 23 Pure AWD for almost 2 years. Trim issues were sorted shortly post delivery. No serious issues whatsoever since. At the end of my lease, buying another Lucid as no one has released anything better.

My issues started 10 minutes after I took delivery of a '24 AGT. Some were fixed, but every fix introduced new bugs. If you're not okay with that, stay away.

I have a 24 Air Touring. I had a couple of minor issues. They had mobile service come once to fix a speaker issue. There were a couple of inconvenience issues that they needed to address in the service center. They brought a loner on a flat bed and picked up my car and then did the swap back a few days later. Both issues probably took 20 minutes of my time total, much less than getting cars serviced at a normal local dealership.

855 lb/ft of torque make you forget 20 minutes of inconvenience.

My 23 with 12K miles has had zero problems. Am looking forward to trading it for the Gravity next year

I have a 2023 Touring. Overall great car. Minor issues were no worse than my Audi and Lexus. Software glitches have been fixed with OTA software updates.
