Trying to Decide: Differences Between Touring and Pure and 2025 model questions

That makes sense. I find it interesting tho that they made it an option on Gravity.
Agreed! I actually didn't know they had, so that's helpful to know!

That's what I love (dread) about these forums. More information to think about before deciding. My Tesla Model S has dual pane windows and at first I thought it was a big plus until I realized the rear passengers would be trapped (and likely to perish) in an accident involving power loss because the manual door release is hidden (in a completely unintuitive spot) and dual pane windows are much harder to break. Lucid has worse lane keep assist and onboard nav (and arguably car as computer features/UI) than Tesla but better rear passenger survivability.

My salesman stopped bugging me but it's probably because I heard they have a Gravity in the showroom now (must be busier).

So can someone clarify once and for all - do our Lucid Airs come with double paned glass? Double glazed glass? Acoustic Glass? Plain old laminated glass?

I see nothing on the Lucid website about Airs coming with specialized windscreens and window panes. Lucid would have made more of it, as a premium automobile feature. if the Airs did.

Actually DreamDrive Premium is standard now on all Airs. So they should all have the 360. (But: be sure to confirm that with the car you choose….they had a bunch of early-2025-year builds with only the basic DreamDrive for a while in late 2024, and some may be lingering! I imagine most have disappeared by now, but if perchance it says just DreamDrive, then no 360…)

But yes, DDPro adds lidar and modest (yet generally very effective!) highway assist (basically active lane keeping and lane changes on when triggered).

If you don’t need AWD, and efficiency is more important than a lot of power, you’ll want the Pure. Less motor noise for sure (even with the new front motor dampening on ‘25s—for me, the motor whine is modest but consistent, mainly from 30-45mph). I switched my Pure order for a ‘25 Touring that became available, figuring AWD would help some here in Maine (though I don’t drive in bad conditions), and would surely help resale value here…..but I often question that choice. Still, no regrets—love the car and hanging tight to my resale theory!
Our SA told us that we could not get DDP as an "upgrade" bc of the hardware needs for our 2025 AP. Our 2025 AP did not come with it. Further, we were told that 2025 inventory with DDP capable APs was very very limited if not unavailable. This was in June. Maybe you found one? But I'm slightly disappointed by not having DDP. I have the Pure for the range and quiet. VERY happy with it, coming from a 2012 Model S. Also, I did not appreciate the two tone nature of the AGT/AT vs AP. I'm happy that I don't have that either. You may have different needs. I'm good with my choice overall.
