Are the 2025 builds getting better?

If it’s the same temps, weather conditions, tire make & size, traffic, etc., that’s over a 20% difference, which is more than Lucid ever claimed…or did they make any actual claims…I don’t recall.

It’s all the same. Lucid has never made any claims one way or another. Perhaps I’ve done less preheating of the car before driving than with my ‘25, but not enough for the 20% efficiency difference…

Did anyone else see that Consumer reports just rated Lucid with a 7 rating on a 100 scale. The BMW I4 was tops with a 60 ish rating.

I have never seen a 7 rating for reliability for any car that I can recall except the very first Hyundai’s

Yeah, there was a whole thread about it a few days ago. No one on this Forum seems to have gotten a questionnaire from them, so you gotta wonder about their sampling method and sample size…

I have had a 2022 AGT for the past 2 weeks while my 2025 AGT is in for service. I’ve now done enough miles on the 2022 with similar kinds of driving as on my 2025 that my efficiency stats between the two cars are now probably reasonably statistically relevant.

2025 = 3.85 mi/kWh

2022 = 3.08 mi/kWh

YMMV…
Seems wildly optimistic to me.

First, I don't doubt some improvements had been made on the 2025 AGT. But the suggestion of an almost 30% improvement in efficiency between the 2022 and 2025 AGT seems like fantasy!

The survey (this forum) done about 1.5 years ago suggest that most owners experience ~3.6-3.7 mi/kWh. These numbers are also inline with my 2022 AGT.

Others AGT owners should chime-in.

The difference seems too large to me too! That said, they are what I’ve actually experienced. Again, sample size is different…1200 miles on the 2025 and 225 on the 2022. That said, there is no doubt that the 2025’s are significantly more efficient. Almost certainly not 30%, but also not minimal either!

We’ve had some consistently cold weather and both cars have been used almost exclusively in weather between 20 and 40 degrees F. The 2025 had a couple of days in the upper 40’s, but overall these have all been Winter miles and heat pumps are 200-300% more efficient than electric heat, so there may actually be a 20%+ increase in cold weather driving efficiency. Obviously, the difference between the 2025’s and earlier years will get markedly less in warm weather.

The 2025’s should be (IMHO) regarded as a mid-cycle refresh with significant upgrades to various hardware components in the cars.
