What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

A couple of simple ones:
  1. Fold side mirrors (why don't they close automatically when the car goes to sleep)?
  2. Button to put the car to sleep

Your mirrors should fold when the car goes to sleep or locks. Do they not?

The Lucid app on phone for nav does not work
Could it be just too much to load on numeric starting address? Can you try a unique place like Bellagio casino, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center instead to load?

I get just a white rotating circle on the app for anything

That is not bad, it shows it is working, just keep loading all possibilities til it exhausts.

Mine behaves just like HariK. You can get the results immediately, but in this example when you go to select Bellagio Casino, you get the spinning wheel. This wheel won't go away until a force close.
Not a big deal for me as I don't tend to use the Lucid app. navigation.

Your mirrors should fold when the car goes to sleep or locks. Do they not?
Ha! Actually they do auto fold. The issue is I never saw them folded because when I exit the car and head into the house through the garage, they're still unfolded. Then, when I head back to the car later, they're already unfolded because the car wakes up before I can open the door to get into the garage! So, I never saw them in the folded state.

I have two main requests for the mobile app.

1) Allow me to turn on the heated seats and steering wheel, not just the climate. I'd say the seats are more important than turning on the AC/Heat, to be honest.
2) Allow me to switch profiles (including adusting the driver's seat, wheel, mirrors) from the app.

It's clear Lucid has the same issue as Tesla and others, where if two different fobs or mobile keys approach the car, it has no idea which one is going to be the driver. So it selects the wrong driver most of the time. Which is a massive problem for couples who have vastly different body sizes.

Profiles in general are actually one of the very few nagging issues I have with the entire car thus far. There's a ton of work to be done there. But while they are sorting things out, it would be nice to just pre-select a profile from the app as we approach the car, so the seat is actually in a position where the driver can enter the car when they open the door.

As I've said on this forum many times, I want to feel like James Bond when I get into this car. If I have to spend 30 seconds futzing with seat controls, that's very un-James Bond.

(Easy entry is also needed, but that wouldn't help me here. There's no position for the seat where I would be able to get in the car and my wife would be able to reach the screen or the pedals.)

Auto-detection is a nice idea, and if they can eventually nail it (along with a huge improvement in switching speed), great. I still think they lack the proper hardware to detect reliably, but if they want to pursue that, I'm all for it.

In the meantime, give me a manual override. From OUTSIDE the car.

Even if we could just flash the phone or fob against the pillar, and the NFT would recognize the correct driver and auto-select the proper profile, that would be a huge improvement. You'd still be waiting outside the car too long, but at least you wouldn't have to play with seat controls, or try to awkwardly contort yourself to reach the right cockpit panel to switch.

From a distance it is hard to tell if the mirrors are folded or not. I think if you lock the car with the fob, car goes to sleep.

Not sure this is feasible but I absolutely LOVED the Summon feature on myTesla - let me got out of the car and have the car pull into ir out of a very tight space. Especially because the car is low and getting in and out requires the door to be wide open.

  1. Scheduled charging for predefined locations (eg: home)
  2. Additional shortcuts and controls for climate and interior (ventilated seats, adjust seat to profile before leaving, etc.)
  3. Car configuration and reservation/order tracking
  4. iOS widgets for controls along with car status (show charge level, interior temp, status)
Agree - Love the idea of a widget for the iOS

Was over on a charging thread and @borski suggested I cross post this app feature suggestion. In essence I’d love to see a driving journal like they implemented in my Volvo S60 PHEV. It tracks all your trips, providing efficiency info along with the ability to add notes and categorize the trip. It came in really for tracking business travel among other things. This could be even more useful in the Lucid to know how external conditions play into the situation.

As many features as possible on the car are possible on the app without compromising security. In case there is a problem with the pilot panel or the glass cockpit, having the phone work as a plan B would be really nice.

probably been said, but….

-the app or the car should have a feature that disables wake/door unlock every time I go in my garage to get a tool or grab a water, which I do with phone in pocket 50 times every Saturday.

-charge time-of-day setting

I realize I just complained about the car unlocking too often, but sometimes when I actually want the app to open the car, I have to stand there pushing the door handle or hitting stuff on the app to try and get the car to notice me.

You can turn off your mobile key, or if you are always close to the car you can lock it twice with the fob and it will disable proximity sensing until you are far enough away for a while. Otherwise how would you be able to tell it to unlock “for real” when you want it to? That would defeat the purpose of the mobile key.

If you push the door handle once, it should notice you and open if it hadn’t already.
