What is a realistic real-world charging rate for a 2025 AGT?

I have a 2025 AGT on order. I was watching Shane's interesting vid about his road trip from SLC in his '23 Touring (
), and was surprised at how long his charging stops were. This made me do a deep dive into charging rates/curves, and I am having trouble determining what kind of charging rates I can expect on a 2025 AGT. I am coming from an Audi eTron GT which charges pretty quickly (I think on my last trip I was getting 127kW at 83%), so I am wondering if the new AGT is going to be a slow charger on the road. Any personal experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!

it's important to not only use SOC as a guage but to think about miles added per minute of charge.

Depends on time of day. If I go to the EA free chargers when everyone is awake it can take hours to get to 80%
= 15 min. to charge,
the rest waiting in line for everyone in front of me to charge to 100%

That's why I bought a home charger.

The Taycan/etron GT are, both pre- and post-facelift, some of the fastest charging EVs on sale. If you just compare instantaneous charging power at any given. SoC, or total time to charge, then yes, you will be sorely disappointed. You will not pull 250 kW from 0-50%, nor will you charge 10-80% in 15 min.

However, as mentioned above, the cars are broadly comparable in terms of range added per unit of time due to the much higher efficiency of the Air.

I came into the Lucid family out of an RS etron GT, fwiw.

Thanks for all the advice. I would still be interested in knowing what kind of charging rate a 2025 AGT would get at say 50% SOC. It seems like a pretty simple question, so I am surprised I can't get a straight answer about it. Oh well.

Not sure if he’s done a 2025 video on the AGT but Tom Molougheny from State of Charge would be your best bet to keep an eye on. He does really detailed charging curve videos etc on his YouTube Channel.

SOC is a great idea--Tom is a great resource and always interesting to watch. Thank you
