Every time I stop there is a little message that comes up that says “Ready” and then it changes to “Hold”. I have it set to hold and I know what that means. I just don’t know what ready is intended to mean. Anyone know?

It means it's ready!
Why does it need to tell you that?
🤷‍♂️

Ready to move, meaning not in park. And no errors/issues with drive. It is probably a superfluous message in reality...

Yes, according to the manual it just means it is ready to drive (whatever that entails) and isn't moving yet.

To indicate that the car is “switched on” and ready to move, which is only visible after you hit the brake after entering your car and all the system checks go through.

Thanks guys and I agree it’s superfluous
It won’t show Ready if there is an issue of some kind; the frunk is open, or something… even if the car is in D.

Interesting, I have had the car balk at going into drive if anything is open, or not open anything in D. I suppose it's possible to manually open the doors.

There have been reports that the car still drives (at a reduced speed of a maximum of around 15mph) even though it loudly alarms that the hood is open (it's not in real life; it's just the sensor issue!)
