Has anyone noticed the difference in the power consumption when you are at a light in HOLD vs PARK?

I only use HOLD mode. While at a light, with nothing other than the radio playing, I noticed that the power bar was not facing directly north, but a few degrees to the right. (picture the small hand pointing at 12:02 or 12:03)

When I put the car in PARK, it immediately points straight up.

What is going on internally while in HOLD but completely stopped vs. being in park?

Most likely, using battery power to keep the motor stater ready to accelerate. Versus in Park going from standby breaks engaged to start. But obviously, these are my personal thoughts, and I have no data to support my postulations.

I doubt there is any significant difference between park versus hold. I think it is an artifact of the display, not a real difference. The majority of any power being consumed is going to HVAC and that part is not changing. There is a solenoid holding the brake on when in hold but I doubt that is a significant electrical draw.

Is it possible your HVAC just happened to turn off at the same time? I have never seem that change just from switching to park.
No. I can recreate it consistently. Even with no audio on, no climate on, nothing.....going from PARK to DRIVE/HOLD instantly triggers it. And vice versa.

Right so Park is denergizing the motors. If you stomp on the accelerator in park nothing happens, unlike in a gas car where the engine will try to rev. Hold is using service brakes to hold the car, ie like on an incline.

Hold is like the car being excited to get going when the light turns green lol That takes energy. JK obviously. I'm going to test this in my car today.
