UX 3.0 Update

A new AGT with rear wheel steering to shorten the turning diameter
wait.. is this a thing? or is it just something on your wish list?

Anyone with 19” all season tires notice on the tires section that it states the recommended tire pressure is 42 psi. Its always been 49 psi. Im wondering if this is a typo on their part?
Yes, I noticed today when I went to check my tire pressures. It is clearly a typo.

That was one of the first things I noticed. I then tried to switch to different tires, thinking I could go between two sizes and hope it would display the correct 49PSI, but it hung and eventually said it couldn't switch tire size. The 42 PSI display only comes on while driving and nothing is displayed when stopped, which is unfortunate, because I would think the car needs to be in park so you can fill the tires and have a reference PSI displayed.

I received the UX update to my Air yesterday.

I have to say ... I absolutely hate it. There's way more gradient bloom everywhere, particularly the upper right screen. Whatever color is in the "Vibes" section gets blown across the left side of the map, and overall the screens are much brighter, no matter what I do to try and tone it down. I just want to go back to the more toned-down display I used to have.

Really hoping they update "vibes" to be less obnoxious with less gradient bloom overall. Ideally a customization option.
Yeah, I hate it, too. Sent an email to the software team this morning requesting the option of a pure black background for the cockpit panel (main instrument screen). Maybe a button in the Lucid Vibes setting that would delete the Vibes effect for the dashboard and leave a pure black background?

Until we have a megathread...

I’ve noticed many comments wishing for this or that or the other thing on the new update. I, myself, have my own wishes. Please do send a concise email to [email protected]. I was one of the lucky people at the software preview on September 17. I can say from personal experience that the people @Lucid do listen, and it does matter to them.

If this is real, Lucid is beyond any help. Release 2.11 is 3.0... FFS
Well ffs for f@cks sake
2.11 can “be” 3.x if they forked the code base, probably at 2.9.x or 2.10
So maybe …

Seems odd...versions names, that is. Said it was going to 2.11...but when I look at download progress, I see this...?
Someone forgot to update that screen

Do you know if the adaptive high beams and auto lane change are working on this update? Thx
Adaptive headlights work, assuming you didn’t turn on the high beams
Are people aware you can turn them on, on. Like old school manual stuff. And also adaptive on?

Can someone with this update let me know if possible to do CarPlay (Waze) on one screen, and lucid’s built in spotify app on another screen? That’s all I want for Christmas!
Yes. I can play Spotify (or listen to FM radio) and run CarPlay for Nav, etc. The one thing you can't do is to operate both Google Maps and the native Nav at the same time.

I guess I should consider myself to be in the "midway through that model year" as I leased in July of 2024 (this year the 2027s seemed to have come out mid-August-ish) and I did get all the 3.0 updates that northernstar showed above. One feature I was wishing for in some form or another was a quick menu that could be manipulated and they delivered with the ... at bottom right of the pilot screen, e.g. Tap and Hold to personalize your launcher. The last one you use from that screen is placed to the left of ... which gives you one more on the launcher (is that what it is called?).

My thoughts on the upgrade with a 2023 AGT, upgraded with the new chip:

Download and install took the predicted time. At first, I didn't like the new software because everything was in the 'wrong' place, some icons were not easy to interpret, and I had to sign on again to my music services (Sirius XM, Tidal and Tune-in (which for some reason is always a real pain).

After a drive, and playing with the software while at stop lights (because I could see multiple accidents happening while trying to figure it out in traffic) I started to like it. The layout does make sense, and I appreciate the changes to the navigation settings boxes. Car Play is easier to launch, not a two step process.

Kudos to the people at Lucid who put this together. I think it's a nice tribute to Lucid Air owners and I wish it wasn't an expense for owners of the older models, but even after buying the chip I think it's very much worth it.

I've pretty much found everything except the easy entry controls, which I thought would be on the seating screen. Maybe it's there and I missed it.

Anyway, I think UX 3.0 is a major plus, and very much appreciated. It's like getting a new Lucid.
