To me, the incentive would be if I lived in the north in snow and black ice country. I would then want AWD for the better initial traction. But since I live in central Arizona, I don't need AWD and therefore don't want it. So I am sticking with the Pure.

I didn’t say no more HP. Just not as much as the Touring.

Also, here in CO, I wouldn’t dream of driving anything that wasn’t AWD. It’s essential for the winters here.

There are places you are simply not allowed to drive without AWD here. And you need snow tires.

I'm in Boulder. The city is fine to drive pretty much anything, but once you get up into the mountain roads, there are restrictions in many places. Particularly Rocky Mountain National Park. During the winter season, of course.

As someone who has reserved a Pure, the two that concern me are the power steering wheel adjustments and the 14 way power driver seat. The former concerns me because I often need to adjust the steering wheel so I can see the display. On the 14 way power driver seat, I am just wondering what replaces it.

One thing that’s very interesting is that highway assist is not offered on the standard dream drive? Every lucid rep and sales advisor I have talked to, said all Lucids come with basic autopilot similar to Tesla.

It seems like Lucid’s “highway assist“ is same as Tesla auto pilot but only offered on DD Pro. Seems like the customers are being misinformed. Basic autopilot is more than just ACC and Lane departure protection. This comment has nothing to do with pure vs. Touring. But if highway assist is not offered then I think Lucid needs to better educate their customers.

Unknown... at least by me. My contacts at lucid say they don't know yet if HP or range on Pure with AWD will be affected.
