Tire/Wheel Discussion

Thanks will these work?

When I asked my lucid service team about what tires I would need to get they said it needed to be

Front: 265/40R22
Rear: 285/35R23

Load Index 109 front
Load Index 110 rear
Speed Rating Y
HL (High Load)

The load index for the Perrili all season you linked is not matching. Am I missing something?

The price is not bad considering I won't have to swap out the tires during the changes of season.
Don’t skimp on the load rating.

I'm not sure.

The Pirelli PZ5 summer tires that Lucid mounts on the large wheels happen to have the load ratings Lucid gave you. But the Michelin Primacy A/S that Lucid mounts on the Gravity with the mid-size wheels has a front load rating of 108, not the 109 the service team told you was necessary.

So I suspect there's some wiggle room. The Pirelli Scorpion all-seasons for the largest Gravity wheels have a total load capacity of 8,486 pounds -- 2,540 pounds above the gross vehicle weight of the heaviest Gravity version. So that means you'd have to have well over a ton of passengers and cargo in the car to hit the load limit of the tires, or load one end of the car far more heavily than the other to exceed the Scorpion's load capacity.

Generally, Tire Rack will not list tires on their website as available for a vehicle if they are not compatible with that vehicle's requirements. (However, they will sell -- as opposed to list -- some incompatible tires in certain circumstances if the buyer signs a liability waiver to purchase them.)

Bottom line . . . I don't really know what to tell you here. I suspect the Scorpions would be okay to use unless you're going to use the car for really heavy-duty hauling or towing. But that's just a personal opinion based on no real technical knowledge of the matter.
