So used the Tesla adapter last evening to give it a try - at their 350 supercharger we were only charging at 4 miles per minute, compared to 10-12 at EVgo, ChargePoint and Electrify America. Anyone have a better experience?

42kW is all you'll get at current Tesla superchargers. You can read more about this in the other NACS charging threads.

Maybe we need a separate Supercharger section in the forum with a message about WHY the Air will only achieve 50kW pinned at the top. It’s probably been explained 100 times over now.

but then how do you get your post count up? Not like any new member will go searching anyways...

Did you fall off a turnip truck yesterday? 😎 Don't you know that it's Far easier to post the same questions ad nauseam than take a minute and read.
More 150 times.....

Thanks to NACS my reaction score has been improving noticeably lately.

Lucid Charging service summary clearly shows up to 50 KW and not sure how many more places they need to say it :(

Lets just run a scrolling bar over the header “NACS upto 50KW speed on Air due to Super Chargers limitation on hardware”

For which I am sure you are eternally GREATFUL but nonetheless DISAPPOINTED that your rocketing reaction score has not led to a windfall, or at least a Lucid jacket.

I'm hoping to redeem my improved reaction score for a free Gravity.

You'll see a ~42 kW charge rate in your car.

Thank you Mr. Buzzkill...
Hey, I will be thrilled with up to 50 kw next weekend. Heading to Taos and Angel Fire NM next week for bike events. EV Charging wasteland. All the few broken DC chargers were recently down as the shitty local company was changing owners. Thought I was going to have to beg borrow or steal a NEMA 14-30 Lucid adapter from @borski stash, and displace a clothes dryer in a friend's garage. Just recently, a Detroit EV charging company, Red E, bought the rights and installed nice new Trillium 50kw DC pedestals. No app, just tap and go.

Traveling In rural NM and CO, way off the interstate, I am very GRATEFUL and NOT DISAPPOINTED in competent 50kw DC. Was not looking forward to cleaning up years of old lint from behind my friend's dryer! 😎

Hey I was just joking around. 50 (or 42kW) is a great opportunity in some of the EV deserts where I road trip.
Hold tight @L-Dude , I know that. And agree. My quip was aimed at Buzz Kill. A reliable, modern 50kw DC pedestal in the Back of Beyond is a rural game changer. I remember years ago having a maintenance man unlock a Nema 14-50 receptacle for me at the Red River NM fair grounds.

Red E seems to be tackling the next phase of charging. Putting 50kw pedestals in rural underserved but frequented travel areas. And also putting them in good restaurant parking lots, no less. @DeaneG , I researched that for rural installs, the 50kw DC units plug into common 480v 80 amp. That Must be lightyears cheaper than the grid modification and infrastructure for a bank of 350kw chargers.
